Well the mighty Royals showed they are still the team to beat by thrashing Sooby to the tune of eight goals.
Brent Tuckey played an outstanding game and continued his great marking (after taking the Mark Of The Year) against the Garlicmunchers last week. Maybe Woosha should look to him for FF while Willo is out.

Jeremy Humm had an average game - although he did a few good things in the midfield in the last half.

That was it as far as Eagles players go yesterday.

How did you think Michael Prior played?

Why is it that all East Perth fans slag off Humm? I've seen it at the games and I've heard it at work - why is this so?

No Eagles player made the match Committee's Top Six BOG.

Michael Prior

I thought Michael did some good things. The bonus was that he played the whole game - and his kicking is superb. Maybe when he returns he will get the kicking-in duties? How could I have forgotten him!

Not all East Perth supporters criticise Jeremy. Personally,I think he is great but I also have heard some supporters giving him a hard time. They are also the ones who gave most of our Eagles last year a hard time. Perhaps they just don't like the AFL to have anything to do with "their" team? Who knows how some minds work!

As you are also a WAFL supporter - a name to watch next time you see the Royals - Frank Agostino. I think he played State underage and last year played in the Reserves. With East Perth's long injury list this year he has been given a chance and played a beauty yesterday - kicking 4 goals after coming off the bench. A tall, gangly looking kid but an excellent mark and kick.

Fair comment Vicki, I thought Humm was good in the first quarter and always gives 100%.
Micheal Prior was good in patches but would still be far from his best form and in other news Eagles rookie Zac Beeck made his return from injury and played in the reserves. It was'nt the best first up effort and he has been reported by the umpires. I heard the charge was he "manhandled a umpire" but have been unable to confirm this.

I watched the East Perth vs Subiaco game on TV and here's how I saw the Eagle players:

Brent Tuckey: Did some good things - held a few marks, kicked some good goals, but around contests looked very lazy. Should be considered for a recall this weekend

Michael Prior: Still got a bit of a way to go before an AFL recall. Worked hard, but made some bad errors in disposal and judgement.

Jeremy Humm: Seemed a bit quiet. Not too sure if he's a midfielder or a backman.

---

Zac Beeck: Rookie List dud/hack - wish we could swap rookie list players mid season.

Because he's ordinary. The only position in which he can contribute is as a purely defensive player. If we want a gun side, we've got no room for players like him.

And Prior: his statistics were inflated because he did the kicking in, but, on the whole I thought he played a hell of a lot better than he did last week, which might have been because he was actually playing off half back this week. He's not a half forward.
