Why are the AFL obsessed with having a game at AAMI every week. The easy solution is one week during the season both Port Adelaide and Adelaide have an away game, Port could play in Melbourne on a Friday night or something and the Crows could play in Brisbane or Sydney on the Sunday.

That way in the last round both Adelaide and Port could have a home game in the final week. Again Adelaide or Port could play on a Friday and the other on the Sunday

I dont see what the problem would be with this.

What is everyone elses thoughts

Would be good except teh AFL would ahve to find two teams to travel to Adelaide and god forbid one might be from Melbourne.

Interstate teams have won 6 of the last 8 flags. I don't think we'll be getting any favours from "Vlad and His Impalers" anytime soon.

Too logical too clever and it still means someone has to travel to Adelaide and you just know it wont be a Vic based side

We know its unfair we know why but i think we should be attacking on the main board - fill that with our protests not in here where everyone agrees.

Be like S Trigg and take it nationally

Two AFL matches in Adelaide on the same weekend is not going to happen. Conflicts with West Lakes Mall, SANFL matches and AAMI Stadium members would grumble about two games on the same weekend. Good suggestion but I can't see it happening anytime soon.

i like the idea an dont have anything against it. the mall wouldnt mind they would get more shoppers there.

Quite the opposite, the mall hates it because all of the shoppers avoid West Lakes like the plague because they cannot get a carpark. Footy fans might buy a drink and a bite to eat but don't do their grocery shopping before a game.

If they schedule one of the games on a Friday night then it wont really effect the mall that much. They had two finals last year in the same week at AAMI.

Great idea , but unfortunately logic seems to be a non-influence on AFL decisions :(

The AFL wouldn't have to have 2 games at AAMI on the same WE if they schedule home games for Port & Crows in the split round. ;)
