I am not a STK supporter and if I cop abuse for starting a thread on the STK board, fair enough, I'll cop it.

BUT - a little story for you all. When the Lions were playing Port earlier this year, on the "Official Bris vs Port game thread" as we got pummelled early a lot of our supporters started to get disheartened, as they posted in real time, about our efforts. We were described as a bottom 4 side, etc, etc.

Then came the big comeback which won the Lions the game. I can't remember who the poster was but one Lions regular (perhaps Warwick, but apologies Warwick if it wasn't you) said, after the game, "Mr Moderator, can we delete all posts between 7.30 and 9.45 tonight please ?".

My point is this - in nothing in life should we judge too quickly. STK - give your mob a chance. Tonight was great. These moron commentators are going on about "how did North lose it?" Well, they didn't lose it, STK had a real crack. They ran HARD through the middle and for once they had targets inside 50.

So, again, you may abuse me, as I am not one of yours but you guys really should just get behind your team, thick and bloody thin, and BACK them, like they backed each other tonight.

Disclaimer - of course, I know this doesn't apply to all the Saints fans. I know there are plenty who wholeheartedly support and are positive. This post is directed to the obvious negativity present in this great club.

The umpiring was a disgrace in the first half but it was fantastic the way the boys came back

It's been a long time since I have seen the saints fight back from being that far down

But yeah, I was frustrated as all hell at quarter time.

I think the umps did us no favours, but I can really relate to the OP.
Nick Riewoldt pulled us through and I was more excited with the second half than I have been with any footy we've played this year. I'll eat my share of humble pie.
