I think if anyone has been in West Africa in last 6 months or so should be denied access to another nation until they have been quarantined and thoroughly checked

Maybe something a little more extreme is needed eg, only allow returning Australians back from West Africa and even they should go into Quarantine. You have to be serious when the United Nations are saying the world has 60 days to control this.

Well, if you're showing symptoms you would be put in quarantine.

I believe Australia fared pretty well with SARS and H1N1 recently so the protocol would be in place. In fact, this should be easier to contain in a developed country because it doesn't spread like a flu. The only ones who have caught it have had very close contact with the virus. It's not like you'd have plane loads of people infected because they breathed the same air. Also, the mortality rate being raised to 70% kind of helps. It doesn't have the time to spread like other bugs.

WHO states that it is not contageous until symptoms appear, but the incubation period varies up to 21 days, which is a long time and now it is being suggested that quarantining for 21 days may not be long enough.

It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing to see a few cases around the Syria / Turkey border, but I digress....

As far as I know. Once Ebola kicks in, you're well aware of it and able to infect people. Before that it is dormant and, like you said, incubating.

Yeh just did some reading and it certainly isnt contagious during incubation, you can only get it from someone who is presenting the symptoms.................with one exception, a guy who has had it and recovered can spread it through his semen for several months after.

If you've just had the Ebola virus chances are you're probably not up to screwing around on mass, but it is an awful thought.

The Ebola thing is gaining traction in the panic stakes over here. I'm in Atlanta, HQ for the CDC and where several American Ebola patients have been treated. It's a bit of a worry about that one hospital in Texas that appears to have screwed up but I reckon they'll get a handle on it pretty quickly, especially after these incidents.

Of more practical concern is the fact that flu season is almost upon us and I can see panic buttons being hit when a bunch of people start showing up at hospitals with high fevers. Hopefully by then the panic will have abated and these isolated cases will have been cleared up.

Don't have random unprotected sex and get your drugs from Mexico?

American drug companies gave him drugs that would shorten his 30 days to live, he told them where to go and lived 7 years longer because he went outside of the US, where he could get treatment for his symptoms instead of being used as a cash cow. The americans tried everything they could do to stop him getting real treatment.

Not much has changed in America, in fact there's a good argument its got worse. Especially since the companys buy their way out of receiving justice. Until you get that justice, you're going to get people questioning motives and media attention.

As we all know pharmaceutical companies have close ties to the mainstream press. Especially considering its been shown american press are paying west africans to fake Ebola for the cameras.

Riiiiight, and that has to do with what exactly?

Or is Ebola just a false flag from the government?
