He's always gonna be a frustrating player as he has no idea how to kick the footy on the run. His ball drop is woeful and lacks coordination.

Would love someone to publish the stats (including clearances, tackles etc) of the time in game they were head to head. Certainly don’t think Kosi kicked any goals on him

I’ve been a critic and haven’t thought he make it. He’s improving which is all we can ask. Big month or so coming up for him. Needs to maintain it.

His performance on Saturday went some way to proving his doubters wrong. I don't mind saying I was one of those doubters, but I need to see this type of effort more often to allay my fears.

We cant afford for him not to become a best 23 player going forward as we dont have much else to bank on.

I was a bit shocked he got it tbh, he got plenty of the ball but Ed’s pressure was good so his DE, particularly by foot was pretty iffy most of the game. Most people can’t go past a 28 disposal 3 goal game though, despite the fact it wasn’t actually a high quality one.

What we are learning about Ed 20-odd games in is that at this stage; he benefits greatly from being on a player who can lead him to the ball. In tagging players like Bont, Richards and Kozi in recent weeks, he has not only quietened them down when on them, but also has picked up a bit of the ball himself.

Still a couple of horror show moments when he was clear and steaming down the ground -only to dump the kick inside 50, miss a target and turn it over. Has to iron that out of his game and quickly.

Had a couple of very good weeks, has Ed.
Is starting to look like he finally has a bit of belief that he can belong out there.

It is still very early. I like that he improved even when sent back to the VFL. For a player that struggled to look like he belonged even in the VFL this is huge. Confidence.
