Eddie Betts

Have read in a few posts that Betts should be dropped. I really feel like I must be missing something. In a side that lacks passion and doesn't chase, harrass and tackle with enthusiasm why would Eddie be the one to be dropped? Did anyone see his efforts in getting us our first goal? How many others on our list are this tenacious?

Why not give him a run in the centre square and utilise his ability to read the play in order to win some ball from the stoppages. I honestly cannot understand the criticism of him. Could some people please reply and explain this to me.

I don't understand it much either. Everyone is pretty frustrated with things right now. Everytime we think we've started to turn the corner you find another alley with vagrants shooting up.

If Eddie gets dropped I would suggest that we patition the club as it would be a travesty of justice. I think he has been one of the shining lights for us this year as he has taken on more responsibility in the midfield.

He has more skill in his little toe than most of the others have alltogether.

You are totally right on Eddie on both fronts, firstly he is the most tenacious hard nosed little son of a gun ever to wear the Navy Blue, and secondly i can not understand why Dennis has not used him more in the centre where he did a fantastic job earlier in the season and with Eddie at least if he does not get the pill whoever does has that little yapper hard on there heels and more times than not he catches the fuuckers unlike our senior midfielders. Has shown more leadership and tenacity than the whole supposed leadership group put together aside from Lance of course. If anyone needs to be dropped it is a few senior players that need to learn some hardness and accountability.
