Funny you should say that surkin. There was a big school of thought gathering at the game on Sunday that their seniors might follow down the same path as the magoos.

Personally, i don't believe it will happen. It couldn't possibly happen, you can't spend $200K on players and not make the grand final. It's just not possible.

Plus, bigpapagman is confident they'll win it. That's enough in itself really.

Wouldn't be so sure Tumbleweed. They may have spent all that money but the wheels seem to be falling off at the business end of the season.

Can't see them reversing the result on Cora Lynn especially with the big names Cora Lynn is bringing back and that will pit them in a knockout final possibly against Catani. I know Catani were extremely disappointed to go down to Nilma last time and IMO they won't let it happen again.

Nilma out in straight sets. You heard it first here.

I suppose when you put it like that, it makes a pretty compelling case. And there is a lot of pressure on the players to win it. It's worth about half a mil to patto apparently. Wouldn't want to be a player in that side if they get rolled...

If I was 100% confident they'll win it, I would tip them in the comp.

Find a post of mine that state "Nilma Darnum will definitely win the premiership"

I have my doubts, everyone does.

Look mate, I am a part-time twos player with no input or anything to do with the senior team or how it is run, they are probably still confident that they will bounce back, me as a spectator now, just has a little piece of doubt in my mind, I still think they are the best side in the comp, and they just had a hiccup in Rd. 18. Time will tell.

how does it feel to go out in straight sets, maybe you could fill us in let us know what to expect tumbleweed. your senior boys seem to be pretty good at letting supporters, committee, sponsors and each other down.

I think some people are getting carried away with one game, Cora Lynn winning a few weeks ago. You cant look at one game in isolation especially when Nilma had zero to play for.

Even though i may not like the guy, Nilmas coach has been around and knows what hes doing. Some people havent considered the fact that maybe Sinclair wasnt doing everything he could have to win the game. And just maybe was pretty happy with the result.

Theres a few theories floating around

Serious question here tumble, what does NNG need to win a flag. A lot of young talent there but what players are they after. It appears a gun forward would make a huge difference. Any young guys at the club that could step up and be an 80+ goal kicker. Not many teams have won flags in last 10 years without one, Sheen/Donaldson, Osler, Fitzpatrick etc.

Actually just went and visited the boys at the pub. They've managed to get Brett Dore's signature on the back of a slab box in the wee hours of the morning so looks like its a done deal....

Seriously though, he would be exactly what they are looking for. They need a 80+ goal kicker as you said and a good senior ruckman. This will free the Jones boys up a bit, and if they can get improvement out of their small forwards like Hodson, Stocco and Howe, they might be able to take the next step. I think the biggest thing they missed this year (which showed out in the big games), was a bit of class up forward. Not being able to kick the goals when it counted most, cost them dearly.
