yet people in matchday threads call us ignorant for doing it.

its not ignorant - its trying to influence the umps and make our home ground as hostile as we can possibly make it.

luke hodge said after we smacked the hawks in the prelim in 2015 that it intimidated the fk out of them - walking into a wall to wall subi oval booing them.

well optus’ acoustics are amazing and the boo intimidates players and umpires.

most times anyway....
It's obvious to anyone who really thinks about it, trouble was this time you came across a foe who would not yield and refused to be cowed.

I’m not great with afl history, but is Nic Nat the best tap ruckman in AFL history?
Feel like it's very hard to say with how little we can watch of the old guard of ruckmen. Guys like Nicholls, Farmer and Dempsey were all incredibly gifted, but it's nigh on impossible to find good footage of them. There are also more modern day guys who are often forgotten about. The likes of Cox, Stynes, Rehn and Ottens all had periods of dominance.

Nic Nat is certainly a great tap ruckmen, but I think he's benefited a lot from a good midfield around him as well. I think Paddy Ryder has similar tap ability to him

Probably going to regret posting this but I can't believe how much I enjoyed that win. It was everything I love about footy and sport. It's probably lockdown related but I even felt emotional and moved by Bucks banging the bin! Anyway, hopefully see you in three weeks and flog you.

not the prelim that year - 2nd qualifying final?
anyway effect didn't last that long - Hawks smacked you in the GF that year

The eagles board is in shambles.
Theyre talking about trading McGovern.
I saw that. They highlight his many brain fades each game.
Many fans on the Eagles board have pointed out that wouldn’t be a genius move to get rid of defenders after being beaten around the ball.

It was done in the heat of the moment, as he was trying to get it to Pendles for a clearance. Not like he meant to throw it. Much like when players tackle high accidentally when running at an opponent who has the ball in hand. Sometimes it happens. But to call us lucky because of it is BS. As I said, ball would have been in the centre and there is no guarantee that the Eagles were going to score.

Plus, its not like this was a big deal last night. No one picked it up then so how were the umpires supposed to? All of a sudden this morning the WA media decide to light a flame and blame the loss on a non-decision no one else bothered to complain about in the last 12 hours.
No such thing as a non-decision. What they mean is the the umpire decided not to award something the partisan crowd - 99.9% of whom have never umpired any sporting contest - disagreed with.

Stiff S^^t.

PS - ask Brayden Maynard about a "non-decision" in the dying minutes of the 2018 GF.............

yeah well melbourne is a long way from perth - and its pretty hard to fill the mcg with west aussies.

They toss the ball more often than the storm.
Hand passings a lost art

Cheating with it won the dogs two flags

Hand holding the ball moves towards the receiver it's a throw

Touching it with your fist

Quick hands

Rubbish

Flick pass was approved and used in the vfa

It was called a schism
Brought in to speed the game up

Ahh what a beautiful day it is in WA.

The weeks forecast is looking just the same as today.

Sunny with a Eat a Big Bag of Dicks West Coast...
to be honest the disappointment has been replaced with an understanding that we needed that shake up.

collingwood have a much better chance of reaching a gf than us - we were making up numbers and would be smacked week one or two at best in qld

weve been coasting since 2018 without any of the hard edge of that year. a win the other day would have encouraged the rot. we arent beating good teams away and be it qld or melbs - you have to win away.

we got beaten by a team that was harder at the ball, more determined and who clearly wanted it more.

i hope it creates some clear introspection. we just arent good enough.

it was a microcosm of our season.

I was with you all the way right up to introspection and microcosm

Mayne amongst the bests according to the Pies website.

Did they accidentally watch a replay of the 2018 GF?
he did a lot of good link up work between fb and hf.

i was sat right where he was playing for a good part of the game and he got your lot an easy out of defense quite a few times.
