Of our out of contract players, in what order do you put them in terms of who you want to keep most ?

1. Hille - Huge potential - when he plays well, we win.
2. Solomon - Very hard at the man and footy, his presence is a huge bonus.
3. Rioli - Stepped up this year i thought, especially when we needed him most (apart from the suspension).
4. McVeigh - just doesn't get beaten. Allows MJ into the middle.
5. Jacobs - Very good when the midfield is on top, but can be too loose. Expendable to a degree because we have cover for his position.
6. Harvey - Big potential, but apparently doesn't have his heart in it.
7. Misiti - We've seen his best - would need to take a massive pay cut to justify keeping him. Still has something to offer if he can get a good preseason though.


Anyone i have left out ?

no complaints there, I'd just swap 1 and 2.....I think Solomon is vital to the toughness of our defence and will be a vital backline leader as Fletcher enters the latter stages of his career.

Agree about Hille, a 2nd quality ruckman might be good though just to allow him some extra development time.

Hille at #1 is right. If he left we would be well and truly f***** in the ruck. I rate Soloman and Jacobs roughly even. Solly is harder and stronger, but wastes the ball. Jacobs is slower, but reads the play beautifully and uses the ball better. If we had to trade one of them because they wanted too much money i'd prefer to trade Soloman because he has just had his best season and would be worth more at the trade table, whereas Danny was a bit down on his standards which is in our favour when negotiating a new contract.

I keep expecting Rioli to break out and become a star but each year it just doesn't happen. Bloody hell he was fat by the end of the season; can't imagine what he will look like in his late 20s. Wouldn't be disappointed if we got a fair trade for him.
