Egan - I know a bit about this kid and I can tell you the club want him to succeed desperately. A lot of you bag this bloke but if you knew a bit about his background you would think twice. In saying that he has had his chances and will probably go if Didak stays. I think he is the most likely to stay of this group though

Big deal what his background is...he's either good enough or not. (Unless its something that precludes his ability as a player that can be improved, the club should take into account...I mean holding him up etc).

The point was, the club want him to succeed due to his background, not the club are giving him more chances because of it.

Now I've supported Collingwood for 29 years, been a member since I was 18 and a MCC member since 02, my stepfather (exSF now) was on the board for 10 years (87-97) and I love this club dearly.
But if we get rid of Didak and keep egan I will throw all that away and support the Gold Coast!

He didn't quite mean it like you're preceiving it. What he meant to say that if Didak was to leave, Egan is more likely to be retained as their tasks are quite similar. Not that the club is choosing between the two.
