Egan must get a game after consistently getting best on ground in the 2's.
I would play Scarlett on Welsh, Egan on Perrie and Harley on McGregor.
Mooney to swap in the ruck with King off the bench and leave Ottens in the goal square.

Mooney's body isn't up to rucking anymore.

I'd love to have Egan in (we need a third tall, and anything that stops H having to go back is a good thing), but the club have shown in the past that they're not willing to play three tall defenders.

Don't really know much about Welsh but McGregor will kill us if Scarlett doesn't play on him. Is Rooke big enough/fast enough for Welsh?

Is big enough, but not fast enough and not good enough. Welsh is the player in the crows forward line that is capable of kicking a bag.

Rooke cannot play on Welsh in my opinion.

Back 6:

Scarlett
Harley
Mooney
Rooke
Sanderson
Milburn / Enright.

Where's Hunt?

What's the obsession with playing Egan at the moment?

We already have Scarlett, Harley and Mooney in the team as 3 tall defenders, if we play Egan we have 4. Until one of our current 3 get injured/suspended, we do not need to play Egan.

I don't think it's an urgency to bring in Matty Egan this week unless Harley isn't fit. If Harley isn't right they should probably replace Egan with him, although I'm sure Harls will play.

The problem with Harley is that his injury is a degenerative one so I doubt the hip will get much better. He'll probably have to play the season with it...

Just because they're in the team, doesn't mean they're not injured.

So are you saying that Scarlett should be dropped? If so, then I agree that if he's injured rest him and get him right. Now would be the right opportunity as the week off is coming up after this round, so he would effectively have 3 weeks off and only miss 1 game. He looks injured, he can't run and can't mark, those are his strengths and he can't do either. We need Scarlett firing come finals, if he is not fit he must be given time to get over whatever he has, just like what has been done with SJ.

Even if Scarlett is injured, he's still playing a lot better than Harley. I still don't think Scarlett has been that bad this year. Most of the time he's been shifting onto rampaging forwards that have chewed up Harley and he's had to repair the damage (like against Port and Carlton). If they were really honest Harley would be dropped. He's been bloody awful this year. You could play Egan CHB and give Harley a game or two in the seconds to run himself into form. Would send a good message to the rest of them too. If it's good enough for Steve Johnson to come back via the 2s I don't know why Harley's immune to it.

why would the cats name & play someone who is injured. that would just be as lame as a duck, and not the metaphorical lame duck, but a real duck who is lame, from stepping on a land mine or something.
