Caught up today with couple Eagles players,they complained about soreness after playing on the car park.We played 4 out of 5 games on concrete and players were very sore and tired after Dogs games.Ratts and the boys cant wait to get back on the MCG.

They should change the name to graveyard stadium

I'd definately point to that as the main contribuor to the current injury problems we have. It's brutal particulary on the leg region where all the injuries are.

Get a deal with MCG, we'd also likely get more people attending there too which equals more $$$$ to wipe the debt.

It ends in 2014 & I doubt very much if we can get out of it before then.

I am pretty sure that the Club have tried in the past & failed.

It was for 10 years & we moved to Etihad in 2005.

Would be shocked if we move away from Etihad completely. We'd at the very least get a much better deal.

I don't really understand why big clubs such as Carlton and Essendon play home games at a 55k stadium apart from against interstate clubs. I'd be confident that when these clubs start having more success crowds would be 10k bigger at the MCG. It's a bit of a joke that Carlton are playing Hawthorn at the Ethihad. Then you've got Melbourne playing at MCG while drawing average crowds. Although Essendon might be nearly winless this year if we played from the MCG

I hate to say I told you so but I flower did.
It's killed our kids and we'll be lucky to get any success by the time the deal is over with the injuries to our players. I'm really pissed off with my club here because Collo did what he wanted and we let him!
