well i voted for democrats, which i am likely to do in the federal election basically cos i dont like my current member (alexander downer) and i dont wanna vote labour or one nation. but i might be swayed by an independent if the timing is right.

Mate, i have got plenty of "proof" to back up my claims, but it's late on a friday night, I'm tired and I don't have the energy to go into any detail.

In the next day or two, if I feel so inclined i might expand at length on my earlier post.

I thought for now I just wanted to get my general opinion across...I hate Johnny Howard that much...

Perhaps hate is the wrong word...despise, abhor, disgust etc are more apt.

God what I would give for a political leader (of any persuasion) with Gough Whitlam's social conscience and Paul Keating's leadership and vision.

Awww mantis are the private kids all rich and spoilt I went to a private school and im glad I did. My parents worked hard to enable to go there and I am bloody grateful they did. Our school had to pay for it's own gymnasium. All the parents had to chip in as it was a new school when I first went there. Shame the govt didn't give us money, but then it was a Labor govt. that was in power at the time.

Look how labor has aready stuffed WA. No ticket no start signs on heaps of building sites, thats really democratic isn't it. Great to have a union heavy forcing you to join their union. Im sure you love that don't you. Labor has done stuff all for this country, and this state in particular.

Remember WA INC? As for those that say this govt. privatises everything lets have a look at Labor's record. QANTAS was sold of by them. Now look at the airline debacle and high prices. Who sold the Commonwealth Bank, wasn't Labor was it. Bunch of hypocrites the Labor Party.

Its not the job of Govt to run businesses, their job is to govern the country and allocate money to where it should go. God I hope we don't have that Windbag from the West governing out country.

They were smart moves, the libs idea of fully privatising Telstra SUCKS, Telstra service is abysmal now since half was privatised and most there intelligent workforce sacrificed for higher profits .... as for Labour getting its ass kicked in WA ... THANK ABLETT (thats my God) that Victoria is where the election will be won or lost with the Libs holding on to 8 marginal seats in the State .... thats why for the first time John Howard will base his election campaign in Vic ...... but we want forget his sydneycentric attitudes .... oh and honest John????? As for our aged care its a disgraceful situation under Bronwyn Bishop, one reason the States are finding it difficult to provide hospital beds is because they are full off age care patients with nowhere to go!!!!!!!

As for schools ..... public schools are desperately under funded, are technology industry has been r*ped of funds by this Government, i know i worked in the what was robust industry providing export dollars for our 'smarts'

They are the policies that concern me , not going back 10 years to WA INC for christs sake ..... lemme see a conservative called Jo in QLD? HMMMMMM yes we all have skeletons lets just look whats in front of us TODAY!
