Braun 1000 series. It works quite well, although I do prefer the shavers with 3 independent heads, but they are more expensive.

I have a Braun, bought in 2000 for $150. Changed the double blades and foils twice in that time. That brand has to be the best.I still have it use it and get a really clean shave.
For me though with electric razors you have to go slow and easy to clean up well . But this Braun is all I shave with.Haven't had a wet shave for 9 years. My face is better for it too.

Have a Phillips (Valentines Day present a few years back) but rarely use it. There's a misconception IMO that electric shavers dont give you as close a shave. I reckon they do, just hate cleaning the ****ers.
Electric give great shaves got to perservere though. You have to clean them after every use and keep them covered when not in use. The cleaning after use each time is very important for elecric shaving.

I used to have an electric one never felt it did the job well then switched to razors. But all my electric ones would have been no more than 80 dollars, so reading here general consensus is, spend a decent amount on it, and that the self cleaning ones aren't actually a load of wank. Might head in to a Shaver Shop and have a chat with them then.
Its a good idea if you can, stops all the rash and bleeding from bloody wet shaving.
