recently got hold of their stuff after having it on the mental list for years, still digesting. so far so good

Not DSO's fault P4K are trying to remain relevant to interesting music.

just like it isn't EWs "fault" they appeal to a relatively small subclass of hipsters (usually hipster/stoner crossovers types)

I tell you this, nobody who reads P4K will read the review, listen to DSO on youtube and then become a fan, it's far too extreme. EW on the other hand.....

Not EW aren't good, i listen to them from time to time when i can't be bothered with sabbath lol

influence is obvious, but they are two completely different sounding bands.

Love EW. Great band and I still kick myself every day for missing them when toured here three or fours years ago (circumstances beyond my control conspired against me). Sure there's a huge Black Sabbath influence but I hear Hawkwind, the Stooges even bands like Spaceman 3 amongst the racket.
