Faubert is three times the right back Lars Hackobsen will ever be. If we needed a RB id rather not chase Blackburns 4th choice for that role in the future.

Barrera is riding the pine atm. Looks handy but doesnt do anything defensively which is a worry. A risk we couldnt afford to take. 4 mill would of been better spent on KP-Boateng for example. A geniune goalscoring CM with Parker.

Winston Reid is the worst player I have ever seen. Will be sacked or sold come January. Hes the slowest thing ive ever seen

Ben Haim is a Matthew Upson clone and a waste. Da Costa is our best CB by a mile and hes being kept out for this boob

The only good signing we made was Hitzsleberger and hes crocked. We got rid of the wrong players and brought in the wrong ones too. We are pretty much relegated for mine

Da Costa has played the last two games after starting the season injured. Barrera played a full 90 this morning and was rested due to having played two internationals all the way in Mexico the week before, plus why would any decent manager throw a skinny Mexican kid into the fray against a Stoke team that pummels the living daylight out of their opponents? Reid hasn't played since the game against Bolton.

Faubert isn't a natural right back, more of a winger. Have you actually watched the last few West Ham games with Jacobsen in there? Hardly makes a mistake, goes about his business and isn't scared of providing width further up the park aswell. Couldn't care less if he was in the Blackburn's reserves, he has looked like a good signing.

Hitzslberger wasnt signed injured, he got injured for Germany in a friendly the week prior to the opening game, unlucky on that part.

West Ham's win this morning against Sunderland was also quite impressive, Obinna's through ball to Picquionne was world class, they dominated possession and played expansive, passing football, check out the highlights on the net, Obinna is looking like a quality signing.

Don't care about West Ham tbh but the doom merchants should have a bit of faith, they've looked decent without getting results, a bit of luck and it'll change, Zola left that squad decimated so give the bloke in charge some time.

More out of necessity than cause. How we have Ben Haim as 2nd choice left back is beyond me.

Jacobsen provides nothing going forward. Faubert atleast did that. We arnt gonna keep cleansheets with a team containing Green and Upson in it so we need to attack from all options

If Barrera wasnt gonna be thrown into the fray he shouldnt of been signed. We dont have time to babysit a player

Obinna is easily the pick of the bunch but he was given to us by Inter as opposed to us trying to sign him on our own good intentions so im not giving Grant credit for that one.

Zola left the squad decimated and Grant decimated it some more IMO. Time is needed but im afraid we will run out of time before things start to click

"Jacobsen provides nothing going forward. Faubert atleast did that", at the expense of leaving a gaping hole for any opposition winger or wing back to gleefully stroll through unattended.

"We arnt gonna keep cleansheets with a team containing Green and Upson in it", they didn't play this morning, Tomkins and Stech did.

"If Barrera wasnt gonna be thrown into the fray he shouldnt of been signed. We dont have time to babysit a player", perhaps Rooney shouldn't have been signed by Man U considering Ferguson left him out of their game at Goodison Park due to Everton's boo boys? Stupid logic, if someone like Shawcross would have broken his leg you'd be complaining about him being thrown in the deep end. Let me guess, Dyer who hasn't played a full game for something like three years should have played aswell against Stoke?

Not sure where you got that piece of information from, Liverpool and Everton were looking to sign him up aswell, he chose to go on loan to West Ham based on Kanu's advice, specifically due to Kanu's good words about the manager. Over the past couple of days he's stated that he wants to make his loan move permanent, but i'm sure Inter have forced that out of him aswell!

"Zola left the squad decimated and Grant decimated it some more IMO". Incredibly inaccurate statement that can easily be refuted by just watching how they've played in comparison to last season where they should have been relegated.

Didn't watch the Blackburn game? We created probably one chance. Atleast in this game we created a few chances.

I guess it all depends on how you define the term poor.

I thought Blackburn out played Everton, but we were not poor IMO.

Remember that they created nothing of note as well because our back four were very good, we just couldn't create any decent chances.

Everyone knows how good he is, the problem being is as soon as Hughton leaves him out for one game, he'll crack the wobblies like he did at Lyon and then Marseille.

That wouldn't surprise me.

The French academies don't tend to instill the discipline that the British lads get from our academies.

1. Our defense is as open as Paris Hiltons vagina on the best of days. Faubert didnt do anything to make the situation worse. With a defensive minded RW in Behrami we need a very attacking fullback and thats what Faubert was.

2. Hence why we won. Those 2 piles of human filth should of been sold a loooong time ago

3. If Alex Ferguson was in a relegation battle I dont think he would of blown half of his transfer budget on a benchwarmer. If hes not ready to start vs Stoke hes not ready for the Prem League really. We needed proven class and not the maybe he is

4. He was offered up to all of these clubs and he did choose us. I think you will find guaranteed first team football had more to do with it than Kanu. Anyone who rejects Liverpool to work with Avram Grant just isnt a smart boy.

5. We are dead last. We played well vs Chelsea had a good half vs Stoke but lets not put too much polish on the **** here. Unless something drastic changes we will be relegated. 45 mins of football isnt good enough and never will be

Things looking abit more brighter this week Coledinho? A win away at a full strength Sunderland who have only lost one other game at the SoL (to ManU) in the last 10 months and then a really awesome display against Spurs where the Hammers were all over them for large parts of the game, playing attractive, passing football, plus keeping a clean sheet.

Pompey winning 6-1 made it a great weekend!
