After analysing Fev's recent booze related incident and all his other one's, and going on the statements made by Swann yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that Fevola will be traded come end of year.

1. Why is Fev not suspended for 1+ weeks? Well the club needs him to play to get his credits up again, win the coleman (or close to it) so come trade week he's a valuable asset again.

2. The comments made from Parkin and Walls would of hit hard to those around the club with some agreeing we will not win a premiership with Fev's cultural flaw amongst the group.

Now who will he be traded to? Will I believe Sydney.... why? Hall is not a young man anymore and is on his last legs. Fev will be able to go clubbing in Sydney and have far greater anonymity in Sydney than he would in SA/WA/VIC... Brisbane may be an option as well, but after Aker.. Matthews may not want another extrovert like Fev around (as well as Bris having a young list too). Also you'd think Roos and the leadership group at the Swans would think they've managed to fix Lockett and Hall... so Fev would be a breeze. So hopefully we get at least a first round pick and a reasonable player for him.

So all, lets enjoy what could be the last year we see Fev as a Blue. Will be a shame.. but as Parkin said.. he's a Flawed Genius!

Nope.

I'm not sitting around and faking to enjoy what could be the last year of any of our players. The outlook we should have is that Fevola will play for Carlton for the duration of his career, staying 100% positive.

Agree Ed. Pray to god he pulls his head and realises he's on his absolute last chance.
That's what the club needs to cement in the back of his head, let him know what he will be losing if he goes out and acts like a moron, just simple things like walks around PP, through the club rooms, ect.

Never mind any of that. With the team winning more it will straighten Fev out and he will get his bum into gear. If not - oh well. The club is bigger than the individual (Dick Pratt is not an individual but a god like entity)

Sorry but really think this is a ridiculous thread!! You could have added your thoughts to one of the multitudes of threads already on this topic!

It is March 2008, i don't want to hear this sh*t from our supporters about who were gonna dump and trade next year!!!

We have round 1 of the 2008 season set to kick off tomorrow, lets focus on that, not next year, thats how all this tanking crap starts. Lets at least wait to judge Fev's next contract status until this season starts!!

The problem I have with all this is that idiots will seek Fev out for a bit of abuse, a scuffle, get him to react, follow him around with cameras etc, because this stuff will sell. Get paid big bucks for filming Fev breaking his last chance. He must have a minder to balance the story if something is not his fault.

Having said that, if he quits boozing and going out until the early hours, there is no problem.

Every Carlton fan has every right to be disappointed at Fev. Yes he might be your full forward and knows how to kick a bag of goals, but off the field he has got some severe behavioural problems. I certainly wouldn't call pissing on a window of a pub legendary. I call it immature. Fev needs a good kick up the arse for what he did

I doubt there is much the club can do to curb Fev's behaviour.
He is obviously still immature and let's face it, he's not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, either.
Great football talent, but unfortunately like a lot of top sportsmen, he wasn't endowed with a lot of grey matter.
Short of putting a homing device on him, I can't see how anyone is going to control his stupidity.
We are all ultimately responsible for our own behaviour, but most of us learn from our mistakes. Fev just never learns.
If he doesn't grow up I think we will be saying goobye to him. I hope not, but he needs to change very quickly in a short amount of time.

carlton tried to ofload fev 2 years ago and couldnt get a first round pick .
the only team that was intersted was richmond (thank god it didnt happen) 2nd rounder at best. you wont get 1st round draft pick for a troubled 28 yo ff that only plays 1 position.
he will mostlikely go to yhe bulldogs they are the only team that will be desperate for a ff and could pay more than fevs market value imo

1st of all I am a Brisbane fan, so no bias here;

Fev, like many of our "big headed" key forwards has a flaw....but I would take him flaws and all in a second. There aren't too many 26 yo full forwards capable of kicking 80+ goals in a season ;)

Just like Ablett - drinking, drugs, Lockett - suspensions galore, Carey - too many to list  he thinks he's bigger than the game itself and when beer is added to the equation he does silly things; but seriously the bloke is being castrated for putting an Irishman in a headlock and pissing on a nightclub window , hardly smacking your gf or lining up line after line now is it ?

I see Fev as a 15 y/o in a mans body. He's actually quite a nice bloke through experience, not the loser he's portrayed as being.

Personally I hope Fev shoves it up everyone and kicks 10 tomorrow night against Terry Tan and his bunch of hacks :)

Fevola will most likely stay at Carlton, as he is still a Carlton player, twit.

Probably why the club should have kept that bit of information in house, a fine and getting dropped from the leadership group would have done enough to sufice the media.

So who got traded for pick 14 last year, one of those talented midfielders that are so rare to find, or one of those talented full forwards that can be found on any street corner

This sport is becoming too stale - all the characters have gone and the one that I most enjoy watching is being crucified for pissing on a window and being out late (on a weekend where they were given somewhat free reign - albeit with a warning to not play up).

If it wasn't Fev it wouldn't be a big deal - I personally hope he doesn't transgress again because I'd hate to lose a player with the talent of the shag! We need him firing and after all his negatives he does have passion for the club and the game and I for one would hate to see him lose it.

The selection of JON with pick eight and a dud forward in Kingsley has worked out well for Richmond.

Yes you would.

At the very least.

Fev turns 28 next year and has at least another five years left when he plays a position that isn't hard on the body. Fevola would be of far more value to a side than a Travis Johnstone or Tarrant who garnered a first round pick for their former club.

He's still a match winner and one of the most talented players in the AFL.

If he wins the Coleman we will win no less than 8 games and he will get a 3 year deal nothing is more certain

I like -they should have made him wear one of those GPS 'bras' 24/7 until September and suspended all other sanctions until then, that would have taught him a lesson in terms he would have been able to comprehend!

I also think his already publicly stated interest in going to the NFL should be taken into account. If he did transgress again and get terminated by the CFC, it would not surprise me at all to see him turn his back on AFL and seek out his fortune in the States. Then we really would get NOTHING for him...

Gee I'm not happy with the way some Blues fans are failingto keep supporting one of our most gifted/talented and most important players.

If he goes out and kicks 8 goals (a very realistic goal against a rabble that is Richmond) all will be forgotten ...

I would just like to think, that in the tough times, we would show our players (admittedly a serial pest in Fev) a bit more solidatarty and support ..

His first concern is to play decent, consistent football for Carlton, frankly I dont' care or judge him what he does outside of it, it's none of my business...

Well this sums it all up nicely, shall we now talk about the fact that we have a game tomorrow night?

Just note Fev's one more chance is not a one more chance for this year only.. it's for the rest of his career. If the club do keep him after this year and he stuff up again, that's it... no backflips.. they'll have to stick to what's been said.

In that the club will not risk giving him a 3 year contract.. even 2 is dangerous as beside Judd he'd be on the most money at the club.

I'm sorry but seriously can we take the risk of sacking a guy that we may re-sign for big $$$. Or if because of that risk we don't give him the $$ he as a player is worth.. do you think Fev will stick fat with the club.. he'll go chasing as much coin as he can in his next deal as it will be the last chance for him to sign for big money before the end of his career.

I see him being traded, it doesn't make sense to risk keeping him. I don't want him traded but I'm not willing to gamble at this point in time him not stuffing up again.

fev was on the market & nobody but richmond were intrestd
at 25 & without as much trouble as he has had in the last 2 years
you must be deluded to think that other clubs will give up a 1st round pick in a very strong draft year for a troubled ff that has proven he cant be contrlled........ what makes you think that he is more valuble to other teams than he is to his own team carlton late 2nd rounder at best in a strong draft would be a huge win for carlton. p.s fev will be 28 by the time he plays next year

I'd Like to See Fev Make Carlton pay if they sack him by

They can have him he's got 5 years left in him
4 after this year if that
they can have a Injury prone Player ;)
we'll get a fitter and better fullforward :)
