Enough is Enough

For the past year and a bit, this so called Jinx, Karma call it what you will have been branded about sport for quite some time and it has slowly crept into the walls of our great club.

I remember the article posted by Hirdy about Carltons big 4 in Judd, , Murphy, Gibbs and Stevens (think kruezer was in there somewhere) and we lost against Essendon on that w.e and i expected people from Bigfooty to talk about external people building us up, what i didnt expect was people from within the club saying the same thing. This w.e same thing happened with the Robert Walls and yet again we blame the hype on our performance.

Another example is, i cant remember which game- it may have been Essendon this year and the way we approach the game may have influenced the result as we built it up to much yet this time we didnt place enough importance on it and smartly enough Ratten said "did i wear the right socks, take the same way to work", because at the end of the day, the players arent psychologically effected my these kinds of things/

THESE ARTICLES AND COMMENTS DO NOT EFFECT OUR PLAYERS IN ANY WAY, hopefull the fact its in caps helps. Our players were beaten and in this game we are going to lose a few just like many other clubs but offloading these loses on media articles and the fact our players may be getting big head is ridiculous.

They play according to their heart and their attitude, and yes they may have gotten complacent after a few wins, but that is in no way due to media articles that they probably dont even read.

but even if they do, they dont walk away thinking
wow were good, they know as well i do that the only opinions that matter are those within the walls

totally agree with you Blue Pride. People on this forum make to much excuses for our poor performances.

thanks serenity, its exactley what i wanted

its never because we didnt play well, its because of some other external source
and by doing this, it lets the players off the hook in some respect

We were outplayed in alot of departments, and because in this game if you dont come to play doesnt matter who ur opposition is you can land flat on your ass very easily

mind you i used to wear a powerband to all carlton games or else i didnt think we could win
