Only 10 starts last season and 6 so far this season. Pep has been very stubborn about only playing him wide left in a very limited role. Whereas with Villa he was often more central and made driving runs with the ball.

Southgate, the moron, didn't pick Grealish until after he signed for City then always put him in that wide left role. His club form didn't justify a WC place but Carsley brought him back into the England team and he scored 2 goals in 4 games.
