Listed as 1-2 weeks.

That means Schofield is a key defender for another fortnight.

Looks like Smith is going to have to be our third tall again!!

Waters (elbow tendon) 9 weeks
Brown (thumb) 6-8 weeks
Jones, B (arm) 2-3 weeks
Neates (abdomen) 2 weeks
Mackenzie (foot) 1-2 weeks

Blayne Wilson and Jacob Brennan. They seem to get good reviews from the guys on this board and the WAFL reports. Will we see another debut next week?

Surely either of them would be better than Sheppard.

Very keen to see those two play, especially Wilson.

Derby debuts could bring the best out of players, as they tend to do in ANZAC clashes between Ess. and Coll.

EDIT- Apparently Wilson can play tall also.

big loss, especially with brown injured too.

luckily enough we play the dockers and dogs in those 2 weeks, both dont have overly large forward lines.

looks like schofield will stay in the side too, dont want to leave ourselves too short back there.

i wouldn't be debuting any of the younger defenders just yet.

Someone in one of the other threads (probably Bond) stated Wilson was the same, if not similar height to Schofield? If this is the case I would really like to see him play, but unsure how he is fitness wise after having op. Although he doesn't need to run off if he's playing as almost a KPB, just needs to keep with his opponent.

I'll settle for one of JJ or Brennan, though, with both having a bit of wafl experience. Anyone know how JJ toe is effecting him?

I bet this is one of those 2 week injuries that turns into a minimum 6 weeker, foot injuries can be very troublesome.

If we lose him for any more than 2 weeks we are in trouble, Schofield v Dawes or Clokes will be disastrous.

I remember Woosh after the game last week that it definitely wasn't a stress fracture, though that's not much to go by. :p

If it's true though, then ****. Though I'm glad if it's WB and Collingwood he'll miss against (presumably), WB lack quality talls and Collingwood is already checked off as a loss.

Yeah pretty good week for him to miss against the Dogs, if it had to be anyone. Would want him back for Collingwood though.

Oh, he'd be a necessary for us to have a chance to hold off their talls, I just meant it i the most optimistic sense possible in that we'd probably drop that game anyway. ;)
