Essendon's finals question.

Sorry to bother you with a new thread and everything but I have a very important question to do with where Essendon finish on the ladder.

My friend and I are booking our accomodation and airfares to the first week of finals in Melbourne and we are both mad keen Essendon fans and are hoping that we can catch a game with Essendon playing if they so happen to have their first game in Melbourne in the finals.

So we were wondering where Essendon would have to finish in order to have a game in the first week of finals in Melbourne?

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated!

We'd play in Melbourne if we finish:

4th (against Hawthorn most likely)
5th (home final)
6th (home final)

We are also likely to play in Melbourne if we finish:

7th (against Richmond or Collingwood)
8th (against Richmond or Collingwood)

So it is highly likely that we will have a Melbourne final in the first week of the finals.

Yup, and if we keep winning, the worst we can finish is 5th, the best is in the top four so we would get at least 1 final in Melbourne.
