Sorry to intrude but i was wondering if anyone knows if the Eureka will be open on Saturday to watch the game.

Cheers

It's just been re opened with a $5 million makerover. I couldn't see it being closed for the world! I'm thinking of going down there if the weather is to be like they say it will be - rain and even hail. Skilled Stadium would be the next best thing after actually going to the MCG, but standing out in the elements for 3 hours+ just isn't my thing when there's a lot of other great options.

Yeah i was thinking the same. I hear they have plenty of big screen tv's there so it should be pretty decent.

I was there for the 2001 Grand Final and that was a pretty good day so hopefully they have something like that for the day.

EDIT: Actually just got an invite on Facebook for Grand Final day at the Eureka so i guess i just answered my own question.

Eureka have opend a new room upstairs called "the blue room" dedicated to the geelong footy club . A mate has been since it reopened and recons the room is great with past and present photos , Posters , Memorabilia off all the boys . Like other mentioned if its an ugly day i might head out there aswell .

THE home of the Cats will come alive on grand final day with a massive superscreen beaming the game live at Skilled Stadium.

The screen has been upsized to a whopping 42sqm from last year's 28sqm.

The screen will be positioned to allow supporters to sit undercover in the stands if it is raining.

Yeah, it will be open, & going off no doubt - heard an ad on K-Rock from Darren Lyons urging people to come along - like others have said, heap of plasmas to watch the game on, etc. A couple of friends of mine are heading there, & I may well join later in the night after I get back from the game & the Fed Square presentation so long we win! :)
