I'm cautious, hoping he'll get us producing a style of football similar to Martinez's first season.

As long as he never puts Williams or Morgan on the park, we'll be better. Hopefully both are sold/leave though.

My only real concern is a potential lack of loyalty. I've got faith in his managing ability and what he's accomplished across his young career.

I'm really hoping for a clear out of the squad from here.

I guess the silver lining would be if he wanted to leave for a bigger club it would mean he's done a good job here haha.

I suspect we are his level, but we'll see.

Yep, actually benefits us as it cuts a big wage off & by all reports we will get a few more than what we paid out of the Lukaku money of about 10mil.

It wasn't the fairy tale season Rooney would have wanted but he wasn't as horrible as many suggested.

The problem was the signing of Gylfi & Klassen during the same window that hindered him.

Moving forward, at least Gylfi won't be on the bloody left anymore.

Correct, he was on the released players list the club announced a few weeks ago as his contract had expired. David Henan was released as well, the rest were under 23 players who hadn’t been around the first team.

Hopefully it’s him apparently wanting to go is them desperately trying to get a move done.

I’d me fuming if we let him go. If they want to give us some utterly outrageous offer I’d at least listen but they can go and do one.
