Anyone have any information on ex-afl players that have been playing well in country or metro leagues?

Simon Minton-Connell is one that is still going around. Has played alot of good footy since he has left the big time. Kick 7 on the weekend for Moonee Valley.

Trent Hotton is at Mansfield, and David Mensch is the coach I hear.

The GVFL has a few ex AFL players...Mark Richardson at Tatura.

There are heaps in this league.

The hampden league has a few big names.

Brad Sholl (Geelong) is playing coach of Port Fairy
Brian Bienkie (Adelaide) is playing coach of South Warrnambool
Jason Heatley (St Kilda) is playing coach of Warrnambool

There are quite a few others also, who played only a few games.

John Platten is playing for one of the Gawler clubs.

John is only coaching Freeling - not playing. Although he does put on a Superrules guernsey to play with his brothers Mick and Jed.

John's youngest brother 'Scully' and his nephew Justin are also playing at Freeling.

Scott Allen (Footscray/Western Bulldogs) - Lauderdale - AFLST PL

Paul Barnard will be playing a one off game for Carey Park (South West Football League) on June 20.

Basically the 4 Barnard Bros. have always to play at least one game together and this is when they will finally achieve this.

Other brothers are Jeremy (200+ games for East Perth), Brendan (Has played a couple for East Perth) and Richard.

Eastern Footy League has a stack of ex-AFL running around.

Vermont has David Bourke (Rich/Kang), Brad Hall (Melb 2's) and Mark Cullen (Carl 2's)

Others include:

Tim Hargraves (East Ringwood)
Paul Broderick (East Burwood)
Steven Sziller (East Burwood)
Adrian Whitehead (Donvale)
Scott Homewood (East Burwood)
Brett Chandler (Doncaster)

And Noble Park probably have a few floating around as well - can't remember if Daniel Donati played AFL or not?

Theres a few ex-AFL players playing in the Geelong Leagues [GFL/BFL/GDFL]

Lara - Paul Lynch
Colac - Marcus Seecamp and Darren Forsmann
Drysdale - Adam Richardson and Glenn Kilpatrick [also and assistant coach]
Bell Park - Brent Grgic
Grovedale - Tim McGrath
St Marys - Kent Butcher and Tom Gilligan [ex-Crow ?]
North Shore - Danny O'Brien and Wade Chapman

Off the top of my head, I can think of a couple of players in the Central Highlands Football League.

Scott Cummings (ex-Collingwood, among others) is at Bungaree, and former Geelong player Jamie Lamb is at Springbank. Lazar Vidovic is also at Springbank, IIRC.

In fact, Lamb was the Tigers' playing coach last season.

There may be one or two others in the CHFL, but I'd have to sift through my records to confirm this.
