Because of the Corono Virus there is talk that list be Extended so be easier to Field a Team IF teams have an Outbreak them.

So how does this potentially work and who we bring in?

Wasn't the proposal to play more games more quickly, so you have a bigger list to rotate -- 5 games in 3 weeks, say.

If there's an outbreak, everyone is quarantined so the list size won't matter.

At the end, extra players might be nice and plug a need or two, but it will ultimately be our present squad (and the better players) that delivers success or otherwise.

I could see the AFL devise say two games a week with say 15 minute quarters (60 minute games) which at least can deliver something of a season. (Not saying this will happen, just options in theory.)

Finals could revert to full games or even full games for the prelims and grand final.

Interesting times.

This season will be a "experimental " one. Not sure what a premiership would even mean this year.
Be interesting with all the changes to the game that look like being applied this season, l wonder what the interest levels will be at....

Me personally,l would like to see the year written off, and focus on getting the game back to its pure form in 2021.
Any losses financially to the game, then government assistance should be given.
This season sounds like it's going to be a mickey mouse comp, which is obviously unavoidable, unfortunately.

If they are looking at playing shorter quarters, a trial of 16 a side on the ground, zones etc....why not play a round or two of just u/23 or u/25, and allow some of the young talent on the VFL lists play, and some of the NGA kids play in those rounds with the clubs they are aligned with...

There is never any excuse for playing AFLX
