I'm not here to rub your noses in a loss, but let me be the first to say well done, that was a great contest today, and both sides showed plenty of guts and determination.

I understand you won't be happy with a loss, but you'd have to be happy with the intent.
May all your off field issues be resolved with prosperous outcomes.

Respect. :thumbsu:

I am happy knowing there are some young players starting to show a bit. It means we won't end up like carlton. Also happy we will score the nait.

Kudos to the Dees today - an amazing turn around in eight weeks.

You have a lot of exciting footy to look forward to and your players did your skipper proud today.

Absolutely stunned by Melbourne players committment today, certainly not the same team we played in round 1.

I thought the crowd numbers were a little disapointing given Neitz's retirement, but those that went were rewarded with a terrific team effort by the Dees.

On todays effort you are the best 1-8 team I have ever seen, I wouldn't be locking in Natanui just yet, more wins are around the corner with that sort of intensity.

Agreed. I was at both todays game, and the dreamtime match last night, and the slop the bombers served up was alot worse than anything we have done so far. We at least are developing, whereas they have truely gone backwards. Granted, they are missing a couple, but the difference that Lucas and Al Davey will make won't be enough to save them from the direction they are headed.

Today our kids have showed me anyway that we will not be far off it in about 2 years. They say we are rebuilding, but the amount of young guys now playing senior footy for us plus the inclusion of another high draft pick next year and we will start to see some improvement sooner rather than later.

The only problem I see is a Key forward stocks, with Miller the only certainty for next year. Unless we go the route of a mid sized forwardline with Miller, Bate, Dunn, Maric, Wona, we should be looking to recruit for the future. Our first pick should be best available player, either Naitanui or Rich or whoever if we don't finish last, and or next pick on the best available KP forward, around pick 17-20, depending on how many we win.

I'm excited by what I saw today, so should the rest of you. And the best part is that the team will grow and develop together, so by the time the gameplan has been fully realised and executed, our kids will be in their prime.

There is a lot of hostillity on Bay 13 lol.
