What a joke and an insult to F1 fans. I was at the footy yesterday in the WAFL and opened up the F1 2012 Live Timing site on my browser on my phone and followed the links for phone apps and the first one i saw it was free so i proceeded to download it.

Shortly after downloading it it showed the cars going around with Vettel leading followed by Ricciardo and i was so excited i nearly told strangers sitting around me that Ricciardo was coming second behind Vettel. Thank christ i didn't, i would have made a complete goof of myself.

I was looking around to see what lap they were on and found down the bottom it was in Demo mode. I then went to the app store and found to buy the real McCoy costs a whopping $30.38. When you click on the feedback it quite rightly ranked mainly 1 star. Funny i just clicked on it now and it ranks 4.1 stars and none of the highly critical feedback comments are there.

I don't mind paying something for it but it has to be under $10, i think around $5 is about right and thousands will buy it.

If you have an android device, you can easily get a "free" copy of the paid app. it's great...would buy it if it wasnt so expensive

I bought it and used it yesterday. Was fantastic. Circuit tracker, could set what tyres cars were on, last laps etc. Was outstanding. Will be well worth the money before the season's out.

According to the reviews it just constantly crashed during the race and is inaccurate with circuit tracker. What iPhone do you have?

I used it on my iPad. Worked wonderfully all throughout the race. The circuit tracker was great, could zoom in to any part of the track, follow certain drivers around, look at the track/cars from any angle. Loved it.

It's an absolutely brilliant app.
Got it so I could follow Ricciardo closely this year, as I don't think he will get much T.V coverage during the race.

It is actually about 10 seconds ahead of the tv coverage, which I didn't expect.
Works wonderfully well.

What happened to the official formula1.com app that they've had for the past few years? That was free and had live timing and commentary and everything, it was outstanding.

Have the F1 rights gone to Soft Pauer? Coz their apps are shit (just putting it out there, lol)

Found another one that has some very good reviews and is absolutely free. It's called Livesports24 F1 Racing. There is a bit of a delay when you go to open it, just be patient. Looks good.

Still works. I have the 2010 version and was using it last year as well as last weekend.
