I think Hulkenberg deserves a nod too. Quietly gives solid performances pretty much every race.

True. When Hamilton is on song he is awesome, Bottas and Ricciardo both went on charges. A truly competitive Red Bull would be scary.

They are supposedly getting a big upgrade for Hungary as well (a track which they seem to thrive at anyway)
Not sure if the upgrade is engine based, because that is really what is needed to bridge the gap

Sounds like its downforce related unfortunately as opposed to an engine upgrade. Can't see RBR getting significantly closer if that's the case.

Renault were meant to be getting a new engine sometime mid season
Obviously they will give it to the works team first, but that might be what bridges the gap if it ever arrives

They don't spend a lot of time at full throttle at the Hungaroring as it's more a downforce track, it will help them.

Glad they took the grid hit at Silverstone although with the pace Dan had he could've ended up on the podium.

Ricciardo was fantastic last night. Such a likeable guy as well.
Can anyone provide any insights as to why the gap between Mercedes and Ferrari seems to of really widened the last few races? I'm a Vettel fan but it seems like Hamilton might run away with this in the second half of the season.

It hasn't widened. It was just this race. Last race Vettel was all over the back of Bottas at the end remember?

True but they haven't won since Monaco and only a couple of podiums since that race.

Must admit I am worried we are going to have races again like last year with Lewis playing a game set to novice after the summer break.
Just hope Ferrari can hit back because the improvements Mercedes have made have allowed them to really take the advantage.
