TAB have been very conservative this weekend, especially with the Quinellas. Last time out the McLaren quinella was $15, next weekend, similar conditions and McLarens are jumping 2nd and 4th again, we get $6.90.
Very similar to last weekend, one of the top 3 hottest races of the year, some seriously long straights on this track and plenty of opportunities to pass. All adds up to favouring those who have long fueled (Alonso and Raikkonen).
I think whoever comes out ahead out of those two in the first corner (both on the 2nd row), will win the race, I would be backing Kimi, clean side of the track, I think the reason why Ferrari looked a bit off last week was their strategist, Jean Todt, was off on holidays, don't underestimate his influence!
Raikkonen - Winner - $4 - Betfair
I don't rate Massa at all and this has been reflected in all my bets!
Hamilton completely outclassed him in the last race and I can't see why this won't happen again. If he can get passed him on the first corner as he did last week then he should cruise onto the podium.
And there is a bit of value here I think.
Hamilton - Podium - $1.75
Also have Heidfeld for a podium because I like the odds, he beat Massa last weekend and with the heat and many overtaking opportunities, though it has become rarer and rarer you never know what retirements they may be. It may only take 1 of the top runners to bow out for Heidfeld to slip onto a podium if you are optimistic and he has a lucky day!
Heidfeld - Podium - $7.50
Could be some value with Webber to score any points at $3, he likes the track, and always heavy fuels, but his car is too unreliable for me and I can't see him passing anyone in front of him.
Let's see how I go!
Has anyone else got anything on?
