Thanks for that. That feature is actually a nifty feature for your own use, but like anything it will attract huge interest from marketing departments, and hence be worth big$. I'm wondering if you go to the same venue at the same time on the same day, and if Facebook would suggest a friend who goes to the same location at the same time. Thinking about it, thats not actually a bad thing.

It makes me think they have a database linking my mobile number, to all friends in the past, with old accounts that used the same mobile number.

If you only cancelled your account nothing was deleted. If you deleted your account, only some things get deleted. Given the value of personal data, and the way governments are constantly working to make sure IT companies keep and make available more and more of it I would be surprised if deleting an account deleted any personally identifiable data.

There's this girl on Facebook who is driving me insane. She was head girl at our school and one of those people with not much intelligence, but with an intensive work ethic and obsession with brown-nosing parents and teachers. She was pretty insufferable as a kid, singing at every assembly in her gormless drawl. Now it's gone to Facebook.

She has about 1300 friends on there and it seems every four days she's uploaded something for someone.

You know when it's a decent mate's birthday, and you upload a photo of them in a less than desirable state? Well she'll upload it to her profile and tag them. Except the photo is like, centred on here, with the 'friend' a secondary detail atop the shoulder or in the corner – like the sober bloke at the bar. It's bizarre no one calls her up on it.

She'll also upload videos of her singing to really shit songs, with a poorly played piano or the campaigners instrument of choice (no, not the white boy dreadie) – the ukelele. She'll be singing songs and uploading them to facebook with captions like "haha here's one for my mum [tags mum] I don't know why this won't send on my phone or in a message but it works as a status!!" without a hint of self-awareness.

Also she's real ugly and I once heard her having a shag with this friend of mine in a farm paddock.

I am not into dogging, I just heard it. Promise.

Two things. That ****ing thumbs up bs on messenger. I had a rather awkward conversation with a girl today. And now i went over the dialogue again and my forearm ****ing hit the button and now im ****ed. It just goes up.

Guy has like 800 friends gets mass likes for ******ed shit. I cringe at his posts, then he has a serve at me for mine. Cant see him on my list long.

facebook has gone downhill since people aged 30+ with to much time have turned it into a day by day commentary on life.

Its peak was when it was used bypeople as banter about the weekend,sport and parties and so on.
