Yeah that's very true, I didn't really have intentions of ever meeting this person though. If it was worth pursuing I would have, but in this case I didn't care much at all. I've gone straight for the phone number, haven't been knocked back for it yet.
 
It's actually a good way of doing it Big Bryza because you've got access to their full facebook profile and can check them out properly. :thumbsu:

It gives you a bit more info and insight into what you're working with. Everyone puts up their best or favourite photos on tinder, whereas Facebook strips that back to an extent.

APA said there are three levels of the disorder.
  • Borderline selfitis : taking photos of ones self at least three times a day but not posting them on social media
  • Acute selfitis: taking photos of one’s self at least three times a day and posting each of the photos on social media
  • Chronic selfitis: Uncontrollable urge to take photos of one’s self round the clock and posting the photos on social media more than six times a day

It doesn't help that they're manipulated by celebrities who do the "selfy" ,as result of advice from psychologists in PR departments.

Someone on my Facebook feed the other day when the Charlie Hebdo thing went down posted that it was two blocks from their hotel, complete with a screencap of Google Maps directions to prove it.

Cue a couple dozen people obviously asking if they are alright and everything is okay, followed eventually by the blithe message 'oh, we left for Berlin 3 days ago'.

Why would someone even do that? Are they basking in some kind of reflected notoriety? Using the opportunity to brag about their trip to Paris? I don't get it.

Definitely noticed an abundance of Christmas proposals...all captured by video/camera and uploaded onto facebook straight away. One of my facebook friends has been sharing the video 10000 times to try and make it go viral :rolleyes:

A video appeared in my news feed yesterday of a blindfolded man and it looked like he was about to be beheaded in the streets. I was too scared to watch all 22 seconds of it so I paused and read the comments and yeah it looked like I was about to witness a man legitimately have his head cut off.

Facebook needs to crack down on that shit!
