Well i thought i would put this in this forum since it is released at the movies. I am really interested in seeing it as it seems pretty interesting and i am personally a fan of Michael Moore. Alot of people have been bagging him lately but i was glad to watch the panel tonight and heard them standing up for him.

Thoughts on Fahrenheit 9/11 or Moore?

On Sunday in Leederville I saw Chris Judd and his girl walking in to go and see it.

Haven't seen it myself, but heard it has some very disturbing scenes in it. I believe it'll be much like Bowling for Columbine with clever editing and juxtapositioning to set up his argument and deface Bush as best he can.

Whilst I sympathise with Moore's political philosophies, I must concede that this is an incredibly biased piece of film-making. The shame is that it needn't have been. I don't think that Moore would have sacrificed the main thrust of his argument by allowing for a little more objectivity. What is presented is an unabashed character assassination, packed to the rafters with cheap shots, and substance which is highly self-serving. A far better portrait of the Bush regime, IMO, is the Cutting Edge doco screening on SBS at the moment (part two is on Tuesday night, 8.30pm).

Yeah i liked the movie but to call it a doco is a farce. Its way too biased when it didnt have to be. To show Bush as an idiot you only need to show the truth, no need to go overboard and lie about stuff also.

Moorre is simply propaganda, but its definately good to watch and a good laugh.

Did anyone see the interview on the US Today show (or maybe 20/20 - one of those). What a pleasant shock to see someone speaking like a real person and taking the interviewer to task for having been not an objective journalist but "a cheerleader for the war". THe interviewer was totally speechless and shuffled her papers and ended the segment. Good one.

Moore's aim was full-on propaganda. He intentionally does this to give the war-mongering US neo-cons a taste of their own medicine.. Fight propaganda WITH propaganda

Fahrenheit

To be frank with everyone, I wasn't aware that the movie was launched yet. Are you sure?
If so, how was it? A certain spark did it have not?
