Evidence that Fanning deserved another year at the Pies.

In the VFL this week:
21 possessions
10 marks
22 hit outs
Beating Will Minson and Wade Skipper.

Somebody will pick him up. He is going to be a damn good player.

Pretty much guaranteed - just like Billy Morrison's super BOG game when he was 14, no doubt he was going to be an AFL star after that.
Having said that, I wouldn't be too surprised if he does make the grade (Fanno, not Billy).

Two AFL pre-seasons, finally developed after a stint at NBL...

There is no reason why he can't make the grade, and this game might just be a start.

DUDES!!! What the hell ya judging him for, i think hes only played not even 20 senior games, hell stay juniors for other year then get picked up and start earning 500k a year. He did well concidering the lack of senior exp. Watch his space

3 years younger then Bryan. He is 22yrs old. We all know when ruckmen develop. Anyway, Im not for Fanning. Hes never going to be a good ruckman in the AFL, thats why Collingwood never persisted with him. Hell, he may even be better then Richards in the long run, but Richards is older with more short-term benefits in MMs eyes, so we stuck with him for that short-term period.

Forget them both, and Bryan, these guys aren't, and never were intended to be in the long-term rucking future for Collingwood.

agreed. Good for fanning if he succeeds, no hard feelings against him what so ever. But year we need to get some kids for our non-existent ruck division sometime soon, as richards and bryan are only short term solutions to a long term problem.

So who is the long-term rucking future at Collingwood?

Well they were saying on the ABC that Rowe was well suited for VFL football, I would guess that David Fanning is as well. I heard even Brayden Shaw had a good game for Port as well.
