Courtesy of M0nty and the Dream Team board:

I have opened the Fanplanner feature on FanFooty for 2011, to allow fans to start planning their squads for next year's major comps with roughly accurate prices and positions.

Next year will include a lot of changes to Dream Team and Supercoach, of course, not least of which is the shift from 30 players to a squad of 33. What this will do to the magic number, such as it is, is known only to the Vapor Media crew. I only know that there will be some downward adjustment to take into account the extra three players needed. For now, I have set the Dream Team MN - the number by which season averages are multiplied to arrive at the base starting price - at 4272. It was 4393 last year. Similarly, the Supercoach MN is at 5057 in the Fanplanner, down from 5312 last year.

As far as positional changes go, there are a few contentious ones. I suspected Luke Hodge would change to a CTR this year, but he stayed a CTR/BAC. There's even less justification to keep him as a BAC this year but I've left him as such in the Fanplanner, because I know there would be an outcry if not. I have given BAC eligibility to Brett Deledio, Brady Rawlings, Brent Staker, Andrew Walker and Robert Murphy, among others. I have not given dual positioning to Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy, Shane Tuck or Joel Corey despite them spending time out of the middle this year. I have taken forward eligibility off Tom Rockliff, Travis Varcoe, Jack Ziebell and Richard Douglas. Ben McGlynn, Steele Sidebottom, David Zaharakis, RIcky Petterd and Lynden Dunn are now eligible as FWDs.

The first-round price premiums go all the way down to pick 25 this year. Discounting is always problematic because the "rules" change every year and get rather random as to who qualifies and who doesn't, but I've been generous where possible. Daniel Harris and Andrew Krakouer present particular conundrums, your guess is as good as mine as to how they will be priced but I've given Harris a 40% disco and put Krakouer at draftee price.

I'll keep this thread updated with adjustments that I make along the way. Enjoy!

Gives us all something to do over Summer! :D:thumbsu:

You're going to have to do a lot more research as you've got bugger all money left and still need to add 3 more players.

However the salary cap will almost certainly be upgraded to account for those three extra players. Monty's fanplanner only gives you $10m.

Spud will most likely be able to fit in another 3 bench players with the extra money that will be put in the salary cap. :thumbsu:

so does everyone else

narkee pretty much summed it up on the fanplanner thread on the dream team board

Couldn't help myself having a crack at making a team

Goddard, Deledio, Kelly, Lake, Adcock, Otten, Rookie

Swan, Selwood, Pendlebury, D.Swallow, Rookie, Rookie

Jolly, Petrie

Chapman, N.Riewoldt, Pavlich, Rioli, Goodes/ROK, Knights, Rookie

Way too early to start thinking about which rookies I reckon, so i'll hold off on that one for now.

No doubt my team will change 1000's of times before R1 though.

What is jurrahs price? I couldn't find him, also anyone think he is worth a look?

Will give him some thought.

His short injury history is a bit of a worry, but he could easily be one of those players who leaps up $200k across a year.

The fact that Melbourne will be an improving team, who may make the 8 in 2011, will also play in his favour.

Jeez boys... You're keen aren't ya? ... Me too. :p
Just read about some major delisting taking place at the Hawks... Skipper, Taylor, Peterson etc. Reckon I'll be keeping a close eye on where they all end up and their new roles (Taylor should be a pretty decent bench option imo).

I have updated the Fanplanner with all PSD and rookie draft picks, including the six training draft players.
