Can someone help me out on how they think these players r faring for the upcoming season:

Terrell Brandon - when is he getting back?
Travis Best or Kenny Anderson? Who is the better option?
Eddie Griffin
Darius Miles
Lamar Odom
Maurice Taylor - injury prone, yes, but is he worth a spot on my roster?

I'm in the Yahoo fantasy BBall comp. Can anyone help me out?

Cheers, in advance,

Brandon - May not play at all this season.
Miles - Sleeper... could bring some big numbers night in night out
Odom - Out til early December, he is pretty injury prone but when healthy, a great fantasy player.
Best or Anderson - Personally, I would pick Best but that is just me.
Not all that sure about Taylor and Griffin to be honest.

t.brandon - not looking good.. a few months... leave him..
travis best - would be the better option... will prob start for the heat... although k.anderson is my favourite current playing player... his fantasy numbers arent special.. (even when starting for the celts last yr)..
eddie griffin - surprise rookie last season... i've even picked him up for my fantasy team... but, i dont see him improving his numbers tho.... with k.thomas surprisingly solid yr last yr, and return of mo taylor... and some rookies who will be eating into his minutes...y.ming/b.nachbar
darius miles - big jump in pts/rbs... but still mainly from dunks/putbacks... will be a good one..
lamar odom - one of my favs... injury/drug/controvery prone.. out for a while... :(
mo taylor - i'd take him ahead of k.thomas.... i'd still rather keep eddie griffin, cos of blocks & 3s...

i dropped Anderson, i didn't think he would get much game time behind Payton

Griffin will give you about 3 blocks 5 rebounds a game, and is up and down in terms of scoring. i picked him up anyway...hopefully to use as trade bait later.

I dropped Kenny Anderson and picked up Jaric. Just incase he explodes.

I traded Griffen, Brent Barry and Billups for Reef and Jay Williams.

A league full of Aussie Spurs fans and a few others.

Brandon - news has it he may not play ever again??

Best or Anderson? - Neither :D But Best if you have too because Anderson will see no time behind GP.

Eddie Griffin - Had a surprising rookie year last season and will continue to improve but he has competition for minutes from Mo Taylor and Kenny Thomas.

Darius Miles - all his numbers will sky rocket as he is now the go to man at Cleveland.

Odom - injured at the moment and seems to me like he is always injured. He will back in a month or so but I dont know if he will do anything or get injured again.

Mo Taylor - Like Griffin above, is fighting for minutes. Should be alright for a few points and boards a night.

Etan Thomas or Gugliotta? - Googs will probably get more playing time than Thomas as Thomas is fighting for minutes from Haywood, White, Leattner and Brown. But it's rumored he is the back up option at PF behind Brown and that Laettner is out in the cold. If so he could get 20 mins a game and really contribute.

Narrowed down my bench to two out of Danny Ferry, Tremaine Fowlkes, Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson. Whadda ya reckon?

By the way, I went with Etan Thomas. More promising.

Thats a pretty average list.

Of those, i'd go for Ferry and Jackson.

Ferry is solid, if so totally useless in fantasy ball, whilst Jackson has shown signs, like his 17 points today, that he is improving.

Wallace won't get into the rotation with the Kings.

That's what happens when I forgot the damn draft was on.

What FA's are left?

I'm sure there'd be some better options unless you have a 20 team league or something.

18 team league.

Ended up with Marion, Finley and I traded for Reef. Got Jay Williams as my PG.

I'm not expecting too much this year, just in it for a bit of fun and basically just looking for some bench fodder.

This highest rated FA is *cough*Trenton Hassell*cough* followed by Walt Williams. :p

I also ended up with Jason Williams, the most untradable fantasy player ever.

Have a look deep in your FA pool for a guy from Cleveland, with a yahoo ranking of over 400.

Don't be knocking White Chocolate.

The boy can play. He gets 8 assists a night, drops plenty of treys and gets more then his share of steals. Sure he has weaknesses, but is better fantasy wise, then plenty of PG's ranked above him.

When he stops auditioning for a spot in the Globetrotters.

:D Too true.
I offered Jason Williams and Gerald Wallace for Mo Peterson. Don't really expect it to happen, but my SF ranks are pretty weak.

I hope you've got your assists covered because losing JWill's 8 a night can be a killer.

agree with ph&ph..

i wouldnt trade jwill for mo peterson...

hard to make up that amount of assists...
where all mo peterson provides are points and small amount of rebounds you could probably get with someone cheaper..

Eddie Griffin
Mo Taylor

looking a bit promising...

from espn.com..

he'll (griffin) probably open the season in the first five with Maurice Taylor suspended and Kenny Thomas nursing a broken thumb.

but I do rate Mo Peterson.

Why?

As Coxy said, he does nothing but score. There are a heap of player that can do that.

Mo Peterson has no fantasy value.

Where as Williams is valuable.. oh.. once or twice every few weeks.?

The only SF I have are Gerald Wallace, Ferry and Terrence Morris.
PG are Jay Williams, Jason Williams, Jaric and Charlie Ward.
