I was just thinking about this, from a pure numerical point of view how Allen Iverson has already affected my drafting of potential Grizzlies this up-coming season. I had Conley locked in as a 6th or 7th round pick up and probably Rudy Gay up the board as well (I feel his relative bust of last year was only a one off) but now that AI is there, along with Mayo and Rudolph...its one of the most selfish teams I've ever seen and have no confidence in drafting any of these guys now.

Their numbers could literally go anywhere, where does AI play in the rotation and how will this affect the production of Mayo and Conley. I think it was a bad move by the Grizzlies as they had a young and upcoming roster, now its stifled a lot.

Hmm

Any other sleepers you see out there?

That is a tough one. The Knicks are way up in the air right now too. Also I'm a Bucks fan and I have no idea how our roster is going to shake out fantasy wise with RJ, CV and probably Sessions all gone. Hard to see who is going to fill the void.

Yeah. I was going to draft Conley wherever I could but I don't think I will now. He was simply amazing last year. Nearly cost me two leagues playing against him.

How do people see Devin Harris and Brandon Roy performing???

Roy has the introduction of Dre, but will he keep improving as a fantasy player? Devin has his own team but will this hamper or improve his fantasy worth?

Roy will get picked in front of Devin every draft, and rightly so atm, but who's the better pick for their ADP??

Harris should only improve, but Roy surely will lose a bunch of assists. What does that leave him as? Richard Jefferson? I'd say he's losing a fair bit of value.

Brandon Roy will always find ways to create for teammates. I wouldn't be too concerned about his value.

Im not that big on Harris this year. He is in charge of a pretty average squad, and will be expected to carry the scoring most nights. He hasnt had to do this before, so I can see a bit of a drop-off in his efficiency.

And I hate AI. I kept Conley in one of my leagues and now he is going to have his playing time eaten up by that hack.

They might have to change the league rules and let the Grizzlies have two balls on the court at the same time!! AI, Z Bo, Mayo and Gay!!! There might be a punch up between them otherwise.

Having two balls wouldnt make a difference, they still wouldnt pass it. It would mean the opposition wuld put up 240+ every night on them... :p

Eh I might as well put this here. How is the Wizards rotation going to work out for minutes?
Arenas, Foye, Miller, Stevenson, Butler etc. Seems to lots of guards/swingmen fighting for minutes.

the only one I can see losing fantasy relevance is DeShawn Stevenson. I can see DeShawn keeping his role as the 'token' starter, but he's going to be largely irrelevant in terms of fantasy impact. he'll probably sink enough treys to make him a viable option in a deep league, but don't expect much else from him.

Gilbert Arenas will be fine, though. he's earning franchise money, so I imagine he'll get as many opportunities and as many minutes as he can handle (let's say, 38mpg). he'll likely carry less of the scoring load, but his assist totals and overall efficiency should increase under Flip Saunders.

Caron Butler's a bit trickier. I think he'll see a reduction in minutes to keep him healthy for the playoffs (let's say, 36mpg). he'll probably have less playmaking duties with Arenas back in the team as well, but I expect him to be a more efficient scorer with Arenas and Mike Miller on the same court.

speaking of Mike Miller, I think he'll likely be used to spread the floor on offense, and on a team with so much offensive talent, it's not hard to imagine Miller getting enough open looks to nail 45% of his treys. if that happens, his fantasy game will be much more efficient than in recent years. his pts/reb/ast will be down on his Memphis averages, but should be up on the numbers he posted in Minnesota last year, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mike Miller was top five in 3PTM this season.

Randy Foye's the last one. he's undersized, so it's unlikely he'll land the starting SG slot, and as a result I can see his impact being heavily diminished compared to his 2008-09 numbers. but as a combo guard off the bench, it's not unreasonable to think he'd put up 20-25mpg, and post a nice enough all-round stat line to be worth a late draft pick in a deep league. and when he's playing in a rotation with Butler/Arenas/Stevenson, there's a high likelihood he's going to benefit from injuries at different stages and see increased playing time.

and for what it's worth, I can't see Nick Young being relevant without a serious injury to someone else.
