* Drafting is not enforced until Sunday, 1st October from 8pm AEST. From there, each manager has 24 hours to make their selection. If they do not make it in that time, they will be assigned the next highest O-ranked player.
If a manager doesn't make the time limit, then I think instead of auto-assigning a player, a better option might be to let that manager make their missed pick(s) whenever they next log on. Anyone else have any opinions on this?

You could lose a lot of positions like that say if there's 6 or so people on at the same time behind you, its a bit of a mixed bag you'd probably prefer that option if you only miss 1 or 2 picks or in the latter rounds, however it could backfire.

That said, no opinion either way, i don't intend to miss any picks and if i do i'll be pm'ing kenny so not to hold things up anyways.

Yep, same. Its a fairly easy way. You should know if you arent going to be online for more than 2 days, unless something unexpected (ie. PC breakdown) happens.

Ok... in the first two rounds, if you miss your pick, you will be assigned the the next highest o-rank player (because the difference between pick 11 and 16 is quite big).

There after, if you miss your pick, we will continue drafting for another 5 picks and if you still havn't picked... then you will be assigned the next highest o-ranked player.

How does that sound?

Was hoping Ming would slip down to #15 personally. Was tossing up b/w him and Brand.

I was hoping for him and Bosh as my cornerstones. Tough one for me now because I always seem to have Kirilenko.......

This is one pick I'd like a couple of weeks to sit on but........

2.02 / 14

A Kirilenko SF/PF (Utah)

2.03 / 15

Paul Pierce (SG/SF)

Was tossing up b/w him, Kirilenko and Nash. Have concerns about Nash's age, so went with Pierce.

I'll take a punt with Amare Stoudemire.

I was hoping for Ray Allen, but you can't win em all..

(sorry for the late replies, i've been out on the road all day)

I dunno I don't think Amare is straight forward, could be a bit of a risk there, could also pay off - he would have been one of the first to go last year.

Yeah, it's not that straight forward but not much in between picks 15-24.

I prefer the auto-draft system, it requires more skill with your selections.. It seems that most people are just taking the next in line at the moment.

However I'll be happy if I can take Vinnie Del Negro in the fourth round.

Everybody's taking the best player available at this stage, from round 4 onwards this is a much better system.

Nice choice here, I would have taken him. He's the most underrated of the superstars IMO.

Surely if everyone was putting no thought into their selections, then an auto-draft would be even more reliant on the 'next in line' ranking system?

I think it's more coincidence than anything else, perhaps this year yahoo has actually got it right in their suggested rankings?

I took AI at 8 even though he was rated 11. Next guy took C. Paul who was rated at 9 but Brand slipped 2 spots to 10 when rated at 8. Dont think its been all straight forward. Kirilenko was rated around 17-18 so he went very early. My next pick will be straight forward.
