It's to do with Resistance Points and story progression. If, for example, you eliminate John Seed then I believe some of the side quests will disappear in that region.

Likewise, when your Resistance Points hit the dots on the bar it triggers cutscenes that progress the story. Fall's End will liberate itself because one of the guys you save there actually saves you when one of those cutscenes triggers - so it doesn't make sense for him to still be a prisoner that needs liberating.

My advice is to do all side quests before eliminating the lieutenants. Will probably still miss the odd mission or two though which is frustrating.

That's a much better explanation. Very annoying. Most games give you a warning prior.

The more I play it the less I enjoy it.

One huge issue I have is the game forcing missions upon you once you hit a level in an area and then also completing other story missions for you if you pass that level mark.

This is particularly annoying if like me you enjoy exploring around and tend to take on anything that comes near your vicinity. I had to help some town out but because I was doing other stuff the mission completed itself and I got a message from a character saying I should still come to the town but they have freed the town by themselves...

So many ways to gain that experience so really you could complete the game without doing any missions that aren't forced upon you.

Setting is very dull after a while, landscape doesn't change.
Too easy to become OP as all hell. Having two helpers makes the side missions super easy, regardless of level.
Whole set up I'm running with perks and all complete before finishing the first section.

Forcing the boss moments on you is a criticism I was saving until I had finished because that has been my least favourite thing. I wish the resistance thing was tied to story and/or side missions, as I haven’t enjoyed being forced into something just because I was exploring and doing things like liberating outposts. Due to the enemies becoming more aggressive and unrelenting as you increase your resistance points in a region you reach a point where whether you like it or not, if you want to keep exploring at your own pace then you need to rush the region/boss or just put up with constantly being harassed.

I get that they wanted to make the game more difficult as you progressed through a region, but forcing those certain missions on the player is a bit uncool.

You can certainly make the enemies more alert/hard/difficult without forcing the missions upon you. Definitely a flaw IMO.

Definitely the biggest flaw I've encountered so far. The point of a big open world is to let the player do things their own way and at their own pace.

The ending
Is kinda f**ked up, I did NOT see that coming. the nuke and then just you and Joseph in Dutch's shelter.

The moment it happened I was like "what a cop out!" Then after the credits finished rolling and I thought about it for a bit I remembered the radio stations and stuff. Later in the game they had mentioned that talks between the US and North Korea had broken down and some other things. I don't think that nuke was meant to Joseph's. He kept saying the world was on the brink, and with impeccable timing right at the end "he was right" as the screaming deputy kept saying. Didn't see that coming at all.

What do the silver bars do? All I can see is that you can buy them in the store for stuff.
You can find them around the map. So instead of using game currency, you can also use silver bars, but if you just want to buy everything, you can put real money to get silver bars and then use that to buy what you want from in game store.

Yeah, I know. I've been collecting them. How do I spend them in game?

in the gun/car store. you use the silver bars to buy "Prestige" skins or versions of cars/guns.

Cos I fileld the bar in John's section, the 'Atonement' mission became unlocked. I went to the Lamb of God Church however to find Grace, and I killed all the enemies but I can't seem to do anything else?

She's not up in the watchtower thingo on the roof. Has it glitched because I have gone too far with other stuff when I shouldn't have as alluded to by others on the previous page?

Anybody got any tips?

Can't remember mission names but it sounds like I did exactly the same thing. I progressed really far into the region without unlocking Grace. When I wanted to prior to facing John, I killed the enemies from the roof and then she just ran off. I returned later and could do the mission and recruited her fine.

Since I did almost everything except for story missions I found I was doing boss fights that involved certain mission giving NPCs being implicated however I still finished the game with 100% mission completion. I think if you get a mission giving NPC wiped out you will still get a very similar equivalent mission in its place.

I don't think there is free roam after finishing the game either. I pressed 'continue' after I had the credits roll and it just took me back to the last moment before the credits rolled again. Someone correct me if that's incorrect but just a heads up for anyone else.

Something to do with muliple endings perhaps?

Had a funny moment the other day, just unlocked the character who flies the helicopters, and she has her little toyboy, well I one punched him to the ground, he has a punchable face and she turned around and attacked me, she fired her gun which missed me but hit a barrell behind me which blew her up so she was also knocked down.

Helped them both back up and we were all friends again.

Had a bizarre moment myself. After clearing out one of the outposts you get a mission to collect three pieces of irrigation equipment. One of them is on the back of a trailer, attached to a ute in the outpost. As friendly NPCs like to do, one jumps in the ute and ****ing drives off with the piece still on the back.

Had to jump on a nearby quad bike, shoot out his tires then run him off the road just to get it back :drunk:

Yeah I did that one, luckily I had already jumped on the trailer and then the guy decided to drive off, kinda embarrassing but I spent ages on that same mission trying to figure out how to get the one on top of the windmill, of course, shoot it down, derp.
