Anyone here of any bites so far on "numero uno" ?

Nothing yet Eade or Clayton was on the radio before saying there hasn't been any interest yet but they hopefully have something done by the end of the week.

Sounds like Daniel Harris and Josh Carr have attracted little interest also.

It might be the wrong season to be an out of contract midfeilder like F.Ray

Good I hope he doesn't end up anywhere and gets stuck in the VFL for atleast another season. Thats what he deserves for being greedy.

He's being greedy because he wants a better chance elsewhere? OK if that makes you feel better then play that card.

No by waiting till the end of the season to try and get more money then not living up to standards and having a teary.

At least the person who writes these club trade prospect pen profiles on afl.com.au has given Farren a thought in the West Coast Eagles peice.

Crystal ball trades
Farren Ray has said he wants to move on. He’s a Perth boy and would appear a nice fit at West Coast. Might the Dogs and Eagles strike a deal?

Seaby is also apparently wanting to play full-time AFL as the number-one ruckman, and he'd be a good get for a side like the Dogs, who could offer Ray as a partial trade.

Richmond is said to be another club interested in the premiership ruckman. The Tigers may offer pick 26 and a young midfielder, but that may not be enough, so an earlier pick would need to be found.

Yet silence from the Eagle fans on their board about about Faz.

Ray delayed his signing with us because of a pre-season injury and hoped to increase his value as the season went on, that didn't work out for him, he then asked to be moved because his opportunities may be limited here which is true. I see absloutly nothing wrong with what he has done.

You're wasting your time. Some people don't like facts, it distorts their own perspective of the truth.

Neither do I.

The coaches, his manager, Ray himself and the supporters expected him to have a good season. He was training the house the down in the pre-season...and then he broke his leg. Missed the first 6 games of the season which means not only do you lose the conditioning over those 6-8 weeks but it puts your pre-season conditioning backwards as well.

He was in his rights not to accept a contract while half fit.

Id rather Ried over Ray. i don't mind Ray but i beleive he can be easily replaced and he showed what sort of player he is saying that he expects Ward and Ried to get more gametime hence he wants to go elsewhere so his not determined to fight for his spot.

Totally different players.

Reid is your in and under type, Ray is a ball carrier.

I hope we manage to hang on to Ray, I'd have him in the best 22. :thumbsu:

I'm kind of split, I've defended him all year but after the Hawthorn game I was left feeling very let down and dissapointed. He's a player who I'm not sure will be in our best 22 next season if two of Ward, Reid, O'Keefe and Stack come on, which I think is a real possibility. However he is also a player who I believe will come good one day, and prove himself to be a real AFL quality player. I just don't know if that will happen at our club.

So I'd be happy to keep him, but seeing him traded wouldn't bother me either, especially if we get a decent draft pick in this strong draft. And I can understand why he'd want out, and I feel that if he did change clubs he would really excell, because he needs that oppurtunity to play a consistent role in the side without being on the frindge of selection every week.

Why were you let down soupaman?

Because he butchered it when he got it?

He could have done what a dozen or so of his team mates did that night & just not even get near the pill. Hard to be as critical of bloke's disposal when they don't touch it.

I'd prefer Ray over Eagleton anyday!!

I'm thinking he was rushed back into the side when he clearly shouldn't have played.

It's sad that we will get the minimal offer to what he could potentially be worth.

Yeah, I know it sounds a bit harsh considering the performances of many other players but I've been hoping his disposal would come good all year and in that match every time he got it he seemed to find a way to screw it up. How much of that was due to lack of support from his teammates I don't know but right from the start when he missed that goal he struggled to have a positive influence on the game.

It was partly because I had been defending him all year and then he made himself such an easy target that I was left feeling very frustrated. Like I said above I would be happy to keep him though as I think he'll turn out to be a very good player, it might just happen quicker at a different club for him.
