Well I knew "H" was a supporter, but didn't realise the connection was playing at Reserves level for the Roys. I distinctly remember Harry and Billy Jacobs delight at calling games at the Junction in the very late 70s and early 80s. Often the Roys were the match of the round, which 3AW tended to get to broadcast, and they'd broadcast from the old white social club stand that my family used to sit in.

That grandstand would rock and roll with its timber flooring. And H and Billy would call the game with more than a hint of Fitzroy favouritism in their voices. I remember them actually singing the theme song after one game....
