Other Teams
Melbourne ...HELLO i mean how easy?
ok well i watching Meet the Parents today, (let me just say. dont bother! ) but in the previews they had the shorts for the movie Shrek starring Eddie Murphy and some other people. anyhoo i laughed more in the previews to Shrek than i did for the whole movie - Meet the parents. my point is Eddie Murphy is just a crack up, he makes me laugh all the time. Which leads me to my question. Which actor do u like watching and why?

i would have to say toss up between Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams. these guys r hillarious. :D :D :D and also Robin can do great Drama. Dead Poets Society is one of my all time faves.

Dee_Girl9, don't take this personally, but I don't think Eddie Murphy could act his way out of Neighbours.
Some of my faves are:
Bradd Pitt
Harvey Keitel
Bruce Willis (not Die Hard crap though)
Cate Blanchett
Bruce Spence
David Argue
John Turturro
Tim Robbins
Dennis Hopper (some)
The actor who played the mother in Requiem for a Dream (sorry, I forget her name) :(
Steve Buschemi
The dog who played Bouncer.

That ought to do it for now.

Russell Crowe, purely cos he always has that "im pissed off and get out of my face" feeling about him all the time.

ummm..and yeah eddie Murphy was a riot in Nutty Professor. Especially that Spandex scene..LOL

You didn't like meet the parents:eek:
I thought that was an incredibly hilarious movie, especially De Niro, he was brilliant in it, but then again he is brilliant in all his movies.
He would have to be one of my fav actors, as far as talent goes, can play all role types, comedy, thrillers. the good, the bad & the ugly,
Looks wise, well you can't do past Matt Damon & Leonardo.:D

"Yeah you rite" ....Murphy is funny and gorgeous.

I don't mind:
Clooney
Ralph Fiennes (pronounced Grape Vine)
Brad Pitt
Denzil W.

i think your being a bit tough on Meet The Parents

I thought it was pretty good. Why was it so bad?

I must admit it wasn't the funniest but it was still enjoyable.

yeah i guess i just had high expectations about it. everyone had said that it was great and funny, and they had talked about it, so i guess i either knew what to expect or just got my hopes up on it being an absolute ripper. oh well. i did however luv De Niro in Analyze This. NOw that was hillarious

Adam Sandler - funny funny man
Eddie Murphy - funny funny funny funny man
Robin WIlliams - legend
Edward Norton - American History X is one of my favourite movies and he is just a bloody legend

Well i love movies and consider myself a bit of a modern day movie buff.

As far as talent goes i think the following are pretty damn good actors.

Tom Hanks - able to carry a whole movie (Cast Away) without really saying anything, quite brilliant.
Robert DeNiro - no explanation needed
Dustin Hoffman - Rain Man says it all.
Tom Cruise - he can act very well if he would lose some of his Mission Impossible stuff, great in Magnolia and Jerry Maguire.
Robin Williams - can do it all. Very good in Good Will Hunting.
Matt Damon - again Good Will Hunting, just an awesome movie.
Sean Connery - he's Bond!!
Al Pacino - who didnt love Heat. The Godfathers says it all.
Bruce Willis - everybody thinks hes just an action star but he is a great actor and i cant think of a movie of his i dont like. Hell i even like Hudson Hawk.
Johnny Depp - no explanation really needed.
Sean Penn - if you dont know what he looks like or just know the name it aint good enough. Go and get some of this guys films.
Denzel Washington - a crime that he hasnt won an Best Actor oscar yet. Hurricane, Glory, Philadelphia, Crimson Tide, Malcolm X ect ect..
John Travolta - Pulp Fiction!!
Samuel L Jackson - Pulp Fiction!!!
Kevin Spacey - electric in Usual Suspects and also very good in American Beauty.

Comedy requires a lot of skill also and i think these guys are the best.

Eddie Murphy - hilarious, rarely does he make a movie that i dont like. Shrek was great by the way.
Robin Williams - Awesome actor, still cant decide whether i like him better as funny man or serious man.
Adam Sandler - LOL
Chris Farley and David Spade - there few movies together were great, tragedy that he went so young.
Steve Martin - you need a required taste for Martin but LA Story is a riot.
Mike Myers - Austin Powers...need i say more.

Action stars, for pure thrill rides and cheesy one liners you dont get any better than.

Sylvester Stallone - AAADDRIIIIANNNN.
Arnold Schwartznegger - Ill Be Back heheheh.
Bruce Willis - you gotta love the Die Hards and i love the Last Boyscout.
Antonio Banderas - Zorro was cool and Desperado remains one of my favourite films.
George Clooney - good in Dusk till Dawn and Three Kings.
Wesley Snipes - Blade rocked and all his earlier stuff like Passenger 57 and Drop Zone.
Nicolas Cage - The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Face Off, all great action packed films.

Chicks are hard to judge as we men are usually just staring at there breasts. But i like

Susan Sarandon
Meg Ryan - sooo hot.
Julia Roberts
Winona Ryder - great in Edward Scissorhands and Girl Interrupted
Angelina Jolie - again Girl Interupted and she was good in Pushing Tin.
JLH - just for pure fineness!!!!!
Christina Ricci - great young actress, liked her in The Opposite of Sex.
Kate Hudson - she was great in Almost Famous which i thought was an absolute travesty that Almost Famous wasnt nominated for Best Picture .. See It!

Theres tonnes more and i could go on forever so that was all just off the top of my head.

Sean Connery, espcially in The Untouchables, The Name of The Rose and The Hunt for Red October.
Tim Robbins, in The Shawshank Redemption.

Fave funny men, Chevy Chase and Rowan Atkinson. Blackadder is p*i*s*s* funny.

A hot young (ish) actor I love, but who is little-known is my fave. Nick Stabile, played Dennis Wilson in the new Beach Boys movie that screened on Ten a while ago, has had minor TV roles too. Oh and Bride of Chucky. He's gonna hit really big when another great role comes along, so remember I told you about him first. :D lol He's a lovely guy too.

Anyway. Can't go past Cary Grant for acting. He's the greatest.
