Worst: BT, Dwayne.

BT by far the worst, cannot stand him.

I always get pissed when Commetti brings out that "he is the definition of mediocrity" line or something like that when someone stuffs up. He's definitely my least favourite, more interested in thinking of something clever to say than properly commentating. But hey, I guess he appeals to most people.

I do like Gerard Whateley's commentary I prefer descriptive commentators rather than those giving opinions or just plain barracking for their team.

Luke Darcy is in my opinion the worst commentator on 7 or Fox followed closely by Dwayne Russell. Not sure who thought it a good idea to pay those men to talk about football, haven't heard a decent call of the play from Russell or any decent "special" comments from Darcy in all the years they've been in their positions.

Best... That's a tough one... Probably McAvaney when he isn't jizzing himself at the sight of an athletic player.

Worst... Dwayne "Position 1A, Chaos Ball, NO WAY, As good as it gets, SENSATIONAL" Russell... The guy shits me to tears...

McAvaney and Commetti are still a class act. Both can be irritating for various reasons, but when you've got a big game, big crowd, close scores, it's those two you want to hear. They're a cut above the rest.

Seems like many FTA/Fox broadcast matches have only one commentator and 2-3 'special comments' men. And I suppose to give the commentator a spell, and give the spec comments guys something to say - they actually miss calling many passages of play, while telling us who should have done what

Eddie Mcguire gets a hard wrap for his Collingwood affiliation, he's one of my favourite callers. Tends to know more about the unknown players than most and has great tone.

My all time favourite was Clinton Grybas, class act, great voice and would probably be doing the channel 7 day games instead of Hamish (who by the way, is just... awful), him and Bazil Zempla are so devoid of any passion or spirit it makes the game boring on TV. I enjoy Drew Morphett, Brenton Yeates, Kim Dillon (off 5AA) and I think Eddie McGuire is better than most people give him credit for; loves the game, knows all the players and genuinely loves a contest.
