Favourite Cocktails

On New Years, im going to a cocktail party, so i need some good ideas for some cocktails that we can give a shot.

I'm not big on the cocktails, although occasionally they go allright. What drinks does everyone like???? and i dont mean the old bourbon and coke, biccardi and rum etc,. i'm talking about stuff a little bit more adventorous.

One drink i can get myself into is the Long Island Ice Tea, a shot each of Contreau, Rum, Vodka, Baileys and Biccardi. Two of those puts you on the floor well and truly. Aside from that, i dont know much else about cocktails.

What does everyone like to get into once in a while????

4 shots of chatreuse will get anyone paro!! 70% or something...lethal stuff that. Bloody good tho!!

Nothing beats Jagermeister and coke.

a Rusty Nail: drambuie & scotch
The cocktail with highest alcohol content for the cheap date.
Also Planter's Punch but that can be revolting as they tend to throw in anything to hand.

My family ignores the traditional Christmas eggnog for Apricot Sours yum.

My fave is a Manhattan

I'm a beer drinker, so when I'm feeling slightly more adventurous I'll go one of these:

Toblerone
- 30 ml Bailey's Irish Cream
- 30 ml Kahlua
- 15 ml Honey
- 30 ml Cream
- 15 ml Milk

Cosmopolitans are pretty lethal.

I love Grasshoppers too, but you can't have too many of them. They get a bit sickly after a while.

Nic, absinthe got made legal again here last year (I think). Not exactly the cheapest way to get ****ered, but I've always been an expensive wino!

Like pastis....try a Pernod with a little bit of water to make it cloudy.

Hers a nice one I tried recently :

Pimms No.1
Cointreau
Lemon Squash
Slice of Lime

blended and poured over crushed ice in a balloon glass.

Its a great aperitif, really freshenes up the mouth and puts a zing into your tastebuds.

Only one thing wrong though (guys take note) it comes out pink
