This comes about as my favourite Joel MacDonald retired, now I could go the easy one and go Hogan, but that's too easy...

To put it in perspective my favourites have been AHEM...

I actually do want your favourite players? This is a thread to simply display I have no fav player, it gave me an idea for a thread though

I always liked players who were flashy a little aggressive but played it a certain way , those guys have been weened out of the system though

Mine were Jeff farmer , Brent moloney in his first few years at Melbourne when he would attack geelong players and then nothing for a whole

Now it's I guess jack viney and dean terlich

Of all my years watching though Nathan jones is the guy I hve the most respect for

Jeff Farmer was definitely my first favorite. Then I went onto Russell Robertson. Then onto Moloney (brick). Then I moved onto Trengove. And now? I'm leaning toward Jack Viney. (although I love Dawes, Clark, Jones, Sylvia, Byrnes and Howe also (among all others) lol)

Was always Steven Tingay then the Ooooooozeee and Cam Bruce and now i have no one because i have very little respect for the majority of the playing list. (young guys excluded) I'm pretty sure it will be Viney for the next decade though along with the Hulk as long as he resigns.

Big Max Gawn nowadays. Always loved my left footers in A Mcdonald and then of course Yze. Always loved Neitz and Farmer. Tingay will always love as well. Still see him around a bit, lives locally and still loves the dees.

Earl Spalding is the first favourite of mine I can remember. Since then there have been a few; Big Jimmy, Garry, Stinga, Jeff White and most recently Garlo are the ones that spring to mind.

I've always rated Garlo - even in the early years

Has always had insanely good closing speed and his ability to get a fist in for the seemingly impossible spoil has been another major strength

I remember in their first season frawley was rubbish but garlo immediately looked the goods
