That's pretty much exactly where I stand too.

Demanufacture is a fantastic album that has stood the test of time, I can still throw that on and enjoy it, but they kinda just lost their way after releasing Digimortal IMO.

Raymond Herrerra is a BEASTLY drummer though, the guy sounds like a machine on the Demanufacture album.

Uh.. Think that pretty much is a machine you're hearing. He used triggers, you know.

Still.. Please enjoy. :thumbsu:

I was a pretty big fan of them when I was younger, liked the records demanufactured and Obsolete but have pretty much grown out of them now. Still a couple of tracks off Obsolete I can put on and enjoy.

Same as me although I don't listen to them much at all.
I can't help but think of Re-Manufacture which was one of the lowest points in music history.

Just like the previous folk have said. Liked them quite a bit when I was younger, can't really stand listening to them now. If they released all their music without Burton Bells vocals I'd probably like them again.

Shoulda known, that drumming is just way too clinical to be 100% human, triggers or no triggers though he's still pretty damn good at what he does!!

Oh look, it's not as if he presses a button and it spurts out double kick at a trillion beats a minute. He still plays damn well. I think the triggers just 'tidy' what he plays.

Vinnie Paul from Pantera - he plays the same sort of thing, without triggers. So you hear it warts and all. And if Herrera didn't use triggers, they'd lose that whole 'machine gun', 'man/machine' sound they have in working with the palm-muted metal riffs.

Talented dude all round. Check out his video games too :thumbsu:

Still listen to Demanufacture all the time. One of my all time favourite albums. Absolutely relentless.

They lost their way before Digimortal when they come out and said that if they didnt make a gold album with digimortal then they'd give it away.

I had a live recording I used to crank a few years ago that I am going to dig up so :thumbsu: for jogging my memory.

I still have the version of cars they did with Gary numan on high rotation on my mp3

Early work is their best. Soul of a new machine and demanufacture. Later albums never really progressed musically IMHO. I saw them three nights in a row at the Sarah Sands in Brunswick on their first tour here. Great gigs. Got to meet them too :thumbsu:.
