I know that I have been a little distracted of late and have not devoted as much time as I usually do to this board. The moderation is usually quite easy but Sainter and I also like to contribute in various ways and I know that apart from the DT and SC leagues and player votes threads, I have not contributed to my usual degree. In a way that is a good thing - as you may know this board has more traffic than it used to and as such it is a more interesting and pleasant place to visit than it used to be. I used to feel compelled to post all the time just to keep the board ticking over. Now I don't need to.

In order to make this board just what YOU want, we ask for your feedback:

1. What do you like about our Board?

2. What do you hate about our Board?

3. Can you suggest anything that would improve our Board?

1. What do you like about our Board?

It's not too big, giving you the chance to really read all posts (I have a life outside Bigfooty).

It has a lot of very good posters who know their footy in general and the mighty St Kilda Football Club in particular.

The discussions are mostly on a friendly basis, often even with opposition supporters involved (the Adelaide thread is a very good example) without personal attacks and - almost - without trolls.

The DT / SC leagues are great - must be a lot of work. Thanks for that !

2. What do you hate about our Board?

Nothing, really.

3. Can you suggest anything that would improve our Board?

I have the impression that other mods are stricter (and quicker with a red card) on their boards - but for once I'm not sure whether this is always a good thing (I do miss MilneyLoves2Snap sometimes) and I don't know how the infraction system works on Bigfooty.

I would have preferred the 10-9-...2-1 voting system that Squizzy suggested, but I acknowledge that the 3-2-1 system will involve more posters - I'm into stats and would have liked to see how we see the players compared to the official B/F, but I'm happy with the 3-2-1 system (thanks to Roughie for organising it).

Even my wife noticed that "Gandolph" hasn't been around that much of late. I didn't even realise she has been looking over my shoulder (I need a mirror or other spousal warning device)!

We don't seem to get too many losers trolling through our board (they know who they are), so I guess whatever the mods are doing is working OK.

I'm going to keep a tally of the best 5-6 players (imo) to see whether I can get close to the B&F. But if Roughy's going to do the work it's hard to complain - I don't disagree that more people tend to vote if you keep it simple.

Agree that 3-2-1 voting system is sometimes tough but already number of voters are up on last year.

We're a minority but we get some damn fine discussion going. Quality>>>>>>>Quantity.
Nothing to hate about our board, and nothing i can think off that would improve it.

#1: I like that I never really felt like a newbie, which is always great even if no hugs were involved.

#2: Definitely need more hugs...

#3: Forming a lynch mob to assault Telstras contract with visual media is always a worthy addition to every internet community...

But agree on the videos. Given Saints Central sucks balls (no link to the above intended) it would be good to have them posted on our site. The club has recognised that the BigPond is more like ShitWater you'd think they'd try and help.

I think this is great - I pop over and look at Saintsational every now and then, but sheesh, they're still having the same "GT vs RL" arguments from two years ago. Over it.

My wife just asked me why I was on here AGAIN this weekend, when I really should be doing other stuff. I turned and said, "I like BigFooty..." "... and you cannot lie?" she replied.

Quick thinker, my wife... It's not big-butts, it's not big-booty, it's BIG FOOTY.

Yeah, sometimes the fact that it's the smallest board is a good thing. Since it's such a small community you really get to know the other posters quite well. Like on the NM board I really doubt they know each other as well as we awesome kids do.

Nothin really to complain about, just a suggestion: make me a moderator.

I just came here to tell you guys that someone in NSW/ACT who has foxtel, could tape the AFL show for NSW. Its on either Aurora (183) or Main Event (518) during the week.

Because the match of the round is Pennant Hills. And Joshua Duncan will be in that game. Just thought you would want to know

It would indeed be interesting to see Josh Duncan in action (all reports have been quite good).

I believe two of our other NSW scholarship players (Jackson Ferguson and Ted Widmer) are also from Pennant Hills, but I guess they're not playing this weekend ?

They have already produced Blake McGrath and of course Lenny Hayes...

you got Ted Widmar as well. He is good, played with him in a few games in u18s in 07. He was playing up from 16s. Very good player. I think he is named in the seniors as well. Not sure about Jackson though.

they have started another GT vs RL arguement this weekend. this one is where GT stated that ross is a better coach! (or somethinglike that!)
