Well, after such a frustrating and typical start from the Swans tonight they really left me with a good feeling in the end.

It was against a pretty lowly opposition but Port came to play and we showed some seriously positive signs. JK, McVeigh, Goodes and Jude really just turned it on and some of the youngsters were fantastic. Reid is awesome and so promising for the future, with Everitt up forward they make a pretty solid duo.

Another exciting thing was Jetta playing one of his better/cleaner games of the year, in fact it was easily his best imo. He delivered good ball to the forward line and didn't do any of those ugly blazing kicks after a long run. Parker also looked super composed even though he was only on the ground for 10 minutes or so.

I could keep going but I'll leave that up to someone else for now, I'm sure most of us were quite pleased with the end result tonight.

Jetta played the simplest, and consequently the cleanest and most effective game he has all year. Last week was a step in the right direction, this week was a leap.

Jude, Goodes, ROK, McVeigh, JPK and Grundy all fired, which was great, but Bird, Everitt, Jetta, Reid, Smith, Johnson and Parker, those young, "second-tier" players, all made really valuable contributions. And Hannebery, who started really slowly, worked his way into it and finished with a couple of goals which was great to see, and will do his confidence no end of good.

Meanwhile, LRT got a really good run around and looked great, Shaw started poorly but really turned it on in the second half (and turned the game as a result), McGlynn had a shocker but got some good touches when it mattered.... and most importantly of all, WE WON..... AND WE SMASHED THEM. Hoo-****ing-ray!

Yes...and we are only going to get better....

Yep, with the likes of AJ, Reid, Hannebery, Parker etc only improving as they go. We'll have more disappointing games along the way but imo a premiership tilt is only a couple of years away.
