With Scott Welsh missing with an injury this week it looks almost certain that Fregus Watts will play his first game.

I am unsure as to what the benefit of this would be, given that whilst he is doing well at SANFL level he still has a lot to learn and his body needs to develop.

I would almost leave him in the SANFL for the whole year. He will grow as a footballer in a winning side and be a big chance for a Premiership.

Playing for the Crows at the moment may have a negative effect given the results we have had and the pressure he would be under.

Whilst you could say that pressure builds diamonds I am not srue we should be risking what we see as our biggest future asset.

Your thoughts?

Would still try on Rutten before Watts, as he is further developed. Also, Ben would have good memories of kicking goals at Subiaco Oval. However, it looks a forgone conclusion that AFC will pick Fergus, given our injuries & he has been named as an emergency the last few weeks.

Play him. One game in a losing side in his first year didn't screw up Tredrea any.

Skippy and Biglands out of the Eagles side. Watts still in.
I hope we are not going to play 3 ruckmen...

Anyone else find it ironic that we always have these 'selection headaches' because everyone is apparently tearing it up in the SANFL yet we play like crap in the AFL?

I really hope Rutten is the travelling emergency and replaces Welsh.
