What an incredible gun of a forehand this guy has. Been a fan of it for a few years but it's as consistent as ever.
And to beat James "Look at him" Blake in straight sets is a great effort :thumbsu:

Credit where it's due - he tore Blake a new rectum. I didn't see the Hewitt match but from all accounts (one set aside) he played a corker. Blake looked like a beaten man a lot of the time (when he stuffed up those gifted chances to go 5-2 in the second) and appeared to get the strops, but you'd do that when being pounded into submission.

The Forehand q-final between he and Nadal should be a street fight. Do you reckon you could count on two hands the number of points that get won at the net?

Yes, it's called Moderator Power - have the last word, then lock the thread so no-one can respond to your feeble post! :D

What you can't see in that thread is the amount of posts full of personal abuse and inane oneupmanship that were deleted. The thread was way off the rails and barely discussed the game at all. It was Limbo Club material at best.

I'm not a mod on this board but I would have done the same thing.

GUN, i remember him pulling off the shot of the open a few years ago through the legs and that one me over. His a genious with that forhand and could give it a shake.

Here's a useless fact you might not have known

- His father manages a flour mill.

With the form that Gonzo is in, who here thinks he can challenge federer? I think yes, his forehand is unbelievable.

did anyone see the shot, where he chased down a nadal lob, did a 180 degree turn, and smash it past nadal? shot of the tournament.

Yeah, I would've looked like a goose when I yelled "fhwoar" and clapped for a minute, on my own, in front of the TV - it just looked so controlled. He just looks like he's enjoying himself (as you would when you're about to play in a Grand Slam final - he will beat Haas) and wants to give the fans a show with that missile forehand of his.
