I think we should be chasing brendan fevola this offseason rather than whitnall, although lance would be a great addition i just think we need to have a ready made FF for when neitz calls it a day. Lance has got a great footy brain as well documented and would fit in very well if he were to say play a role similar to benny hollands role this yr as like a 3rd or 4th option behind neitz robbo and maybe even milsy and he would get the oppositions 3rd or 4th best defender but by all reports lance is being chased by the club to the thier chf but i think that is millers best position and i think he should stay there. This brings me to fev, we all know neitz only has say 2 yrs left in him at best, so we need to look for someone to take the skippers spot when he hangs up the boots, why not fev? i know its been well documented he has a ******** poor attitude but when he is on he is brilliant, in 2003 he kicked 70 something goals i think for a team that finished 2nd last with prob one of the worst midfields in the comp that is an awsome effort, he is still young i think only 24 or something, getting fev would allow the skipper to take a secondary role in the foward line while the likes of fev robbo and milsy would draw the opposition teams best defenders, i dont know if any of these rumors have any truth to them but it seems like the blues may be keen to ship fevola out, now i dont know what carlton would want from us for fev but i think its defiently worth a try, if fev gets his attitude right he could be a very good and consistant ff i.e barry hall and fraser gherig.

Thoughts?

He wont leave Carlton end of story, Carlton are throwing his name around to get him inline. The only Blues with a real chance of leaving are Lappin, Lance and Campo (though I dont think anyone would want the big sook!)

We shouldn't take Fevola or Whitnall, bot are talented players but both have major drawbacks which just isn't worth the risk and the cost to get them to the club.

I wouldn't say no to Fev or Whitnall, but i don't like the cost of getting either. Both would bring something to the MFC.

But i thought last year we drafted some young blood for KPP roles. Dunn and Newton. I have no idea if they will make it or not, Dunn looks ok. But i think we lack midfeild presance. Its not the forwards they just aren't getting the supply and quality supply.

I think we would be greatly benifited going after Bartel, Power etc. Thats just my opinion.

I'm with you. The midfield is the problem that needs to be addressed first.
